That's damn impressive how a woman had enough upper body strength to inflict a lethal wound on an ELEPHANT using a bow and arrow. It's a bit off how she let it bleed out rather than finishing it off, I'm guessing she wanted a 1 hit kill as opposed to needing multiple strikes, that doesn't really justify the suffering of the animal at all tho.

PETA people, I know you want to tell her off for killing an innocent elephant and stuff, but she DID go half way around the world to a place where it's legal and they're a danger to wildlife. It's not like she was poaching a protected animal...

I don't see that as much of a "feat". She walked up to the elephant and shot it from 12 yards away, that's not especially far. Then she walked away and came back the next day. That doesn't even qualify as hunting in my book; she didn't track it, hell i bet she was right in front of it when she took the shot. Worst of all, she didn't eat it or use it for anything. That's just inexcuseable.

She crept up and used a ranged weapon to take out a non predatory animal then snuck off and let the poor thing to suffer and die.
That is a coward. She did not get within fighting distance. She did not even finish it off. Also as I said she chose a non predatory animal, would she have the balls to do that to a lion or a bear? Fuck no as she knows it would fight back and kill her ass. So shes a coward and since she did that just for sport she deserves no better.
I honestly support the death penalty for scum like her.

Elephants are damned dangerous if you piss them off, almost as much as hippopotamuses. I wouldn't go within 50 yards of either.

Also these elephants are overpopulated, so her killing it helps the rest of the species. Plus they probably utilized the corpse of the beast after it had died.

There's special hunting rifles designed solely to pierce elephant/rhino hide, because most can't do it. That should tell you something about this. Medieval battle armor (at most, ~1/4" of steel or iron plates) has absolutely nothing on elephant hide.

Well if there was a controlled culling thing going on I suppose its ok. But this has to be one of the most extreme cases of ego feeding in modern history. Right above learning how to hunt with a bow and tracking an elephant.

Actually, I thought that you were generalizing, saying that you would choose any human being in the world over this elephant. And to prevent a possible arguement, I mean you would go through each person in the world, learn their life stories, and still choose everyone. So, every person who's been a dick to you, or anyone else who has done something that merits them a bad name.
