Compare Magic School Bus and Bill Nye with any other modern "equivalent" science kid show. There is no comparrison.

I stil watch SpongeBob and the Fairly Odd Parents. Their older episodes were amazing. now their crap.
I'm pretty sure I can't say anything that hasn't already been said in this topic, but I will go ahead and reiterate this point that may or may not have already been made.

And yes, I do go back and watch the older episodes. And, despite nostalgia, I can find things in the older episodes that I might not have gotten the first time.

Last comment, has anyone else notices that the pokemon clones have gone VERY down hill. The latest, "Bakugon" I think, is basically a commercial that shows pictures of the product stock anime characters and no story. Pokemon wasn't much better, but at least it tried to make a story out of the ads.

Trying to make entertainment educational fails too often outside of sesame street. Kids don't get enough credit, they're basically mini adults, and how would we feel if people insisted on dropping avilicious morals and education into everything we watched?
Aside from that I have noticed the complete lack of interesting things on saturday morining, and the increase of live action in kids times slots. I mean, they were kids' shows, but they were boring. Up 'till the age of 12 I had this rule that "real picture" stuff was boring.
Some of the stuff for children now includes reality TV. Not just a quiz show, reality tv. We don't want them to grow up that quickly.
That's why I don't watch TV much anymore.

Yeah everything has been going down hill media wise.
I think Sponge Bob is pretty good though, well the first 50 episodes anyway, but other than that I try to avoid all the new stuff unless Avatar is also considered a kids show. Nothing these days is as awesome as the Swat Kats.
