Is the death rate of children playing in streets so high in that particular area that it calls for a new law to be passed to restrict them from playing outside?

Really?

Because if that's true, I don't think it's the kids you need to restrict here....

Wow, they have actually forgotten what it is like to be a child, in-fucking-credible. Every kid gets hurt, its a law of nature. Trying to stop every bump or bruise only hurts kids worse. I also find it messed up they are trying to tell parents what their kids can and can't do.

This obsession with wrapping kids up in cotton wool is fucking frustrating.

Getting hurt is a natural part of growing up, so much so that I've even heard psychologists argue that it's essential for whatever googleworthy reasons. At the very least it helps us assess risks and dangerous situations which is freaking important.

Sure if something is directly causing kids to die or is inherently dangerous then it should be discouraged and maybe even banned.
Playing tag? No danger at all. Someone might fall over from running and scrape their knee but that's a direct result of running, not playing tag. Hell you could even fall over from walking, are they gonna ban that too?

We are raising a nation of weaklings and yet openly believe that we will always be a world power.

It's going to be a rude awakening for most Americans when we fall because our people are so weak that we won't be able to field an army to defend us.
Thats why the best soldiers don't come from the suburbs, they come from the country and the city. Luckily we still have quite a bit of that.

I hate to burst your bubble but schools are actually pretty paranoia driven anti-Christianity in the same fashion as Jimmy getting a boo-boo
True enough, I went off on a tangent there. I was thinking about the parents that put the pressure on the schools to do these reforms. Usually, there is an incidence where some kid gets hurt and its the parents that put pressure on the school to protect their kid. So, I was thinking it terms of what else to overprotective parents do.
Ah,well I can understand that.At least the islamic kid can feel alienated because he's the only one allowed to have a beard *extreme sarcasm at work in second sentence*

Ah, I'm not a kid anymore but I feel like running outside now. Maybe I can convince my brother to play tag with me.

I remember some dozen years ago teachers watching kids uses swingsets to propel themselves high in the air and land dirt, all while having a hell of a time.Or getting a skate ramp and trying to use it while on a bike.
Kids are dumb, they will hurt themselves in pursuit of fun.The job of parents is not to stop every injury, but to stop kids from getting badly injured.

Sheesh, next year, they'll try to ban going outside for fear on insect bites or something.

WHAT......THE......FUCK!?
People these days ar such pussies and its starting to turn the youth into pussies too!
I've met children, 12 or older, who said they havent even learned how to swim yet because their parents are over-protective or the instructors are over-protective. You wanna know how I learned how to swim?! I learned in my first lesson, I told the instructor I was nervous and he said "dont worry, it comes naturally" he then promptly kicked me in the deep-end of the pool and told me to "just wing it". Point being, if your over-protective, your kids aint gonna learn shit.

The next generation of kids are gonna grow up to be serious wimps....Oh wait, no they wont, they're all listening to that Hip-Hop and Rap stuff that I know nothing about. Regardless, overly protective parents are ruining childhoods everywhere. Getting scraped up and cuts, bruises and interacting with others is how we develop as people and grow into adults. You cannot wrap your kids in polystyrene, put him in a bubble, then bubble the bubble and say ''Yeah, im a successful parent'' . I cant possibly understand the fear parents have towards their childrens wellbeing, but there is a line...and it was crossed about 5 miles ago...I wanna have fun damn it! And im sure all the kids....Ever! Will agree with me.

It's funny because they say stuff like "Tag alienates kids, whoever is 'it' is alienated from the other players," and yet all the people who say that, have played tag in their youth and seem to have grown up just fine (well, maybe not if they're considering banning tag..).

I'm glad I'm out of school now. I thought it was stupid when they stopped playing dodge ball a few years back.
Let kids get scrapes, it happens.
Not as bad as when they banned British Bulldog... I missed that brutal, unforgiving game...
