my idea is simple, id like to see an intro for the MMO that explanes the shitty ending of KotOR II, or, well ..... actualy ends it in a way that makes some God damn sense. id pay $20 atleast for a finished ending add in another $20 for some shitty MMO "experiance" im sure to quit in the first few days and its still worth the cash.

i just hope that Bioware doesnt end up sinking so much cash into this that when it flops they wont be able to make the actual 3rd single player game we all want instead.

then again maybe its not as horrible as it sounds, with EA involved in any single player game its sure to be infested with that shitty DRM and i wouldnt buy it then anyhow

(i played EQ 1 for years and eve for 6 months or so, so i know all about MMOs, the good AND the bad)

I'd like to see a well-enforced RP server for once in my fucking life. If Bioware can do that, they'll have my eternal devotion.
Seconded.

This would even solve the whole JEDI ARE ÜBER-thing.

Anyway, if they make the Jedi true to the actual frigging movies, Jedi shouldn't be a problem. Like Yahtzee said, Luke was a Force-prodigy, and he could barely wobble a lightsaber on the other end of the room.

Personally, I'm not going to play it anyway. My laptop won't be able to run it, and I like the singleplayer games.

So make KotOR III already. Dammit.

No, no The Force Unleashed, please!

While being an über-bad ass mofo who can rampage through any army like a knife through hot butter is awesome (KotOR II: The Sith Lords with a Dark Side character, anyone?), it just wouldn't work for a MMO.

I just want to see the resurgance of the gun slinger jedi. If anyone remembers kotor 2 you could play through the whole game without using a lightsaber and stay on par if not better than your double bladed friends.

Also...
If you're lightsaber slices somebody...you die.
No HP, no numbered life system...just death.

Let me say it again...DEATH. Instant. The headshot of the game besides an actual headshot is getting sliced with a lightsaber.
Fine, but if I shoot you with a blaster you should be crippled or dead, same as the storm troopers/rebel troops at the start of Episode 4. If I stab you with a cortosis weave vibroblade, you'd better fall over and be unable to get up because you have a massive gaping hole in your side.

No, see that wouldn't work. Why? Because MMOs run on this thing called "balance". It'd be no fun if One shot=any enemy dead because you'd be 'dying' every few minutes once an enemy gets their attack through. Corpse runs are not fun. Ever.

How about this, If your playing damage eating thicky and lets say you have a rifle...How about you can try a rifle butt and knock some poor bastard down running at you with a blade? It seems fair.

Or make jedis undesirably weak as they should be. Running around in fucking cloth shoudn't sheild mah mancannon.

Also, Light characters could get a sheild of sorts to shield themselves from damage more like a tank while darkies focus on killing.

How about no playable Jedi?
How about blaster actually being viable weapons?

Thiiisssss

All the fanboys who cry "BUT WE PLAY STARWARS TO BE JEDI!" Aren't real fanboys. A real starwars nerd yearns only to be a Stormtrooper says me! And you can go back to playing Jedi Academy for that.

Ugh. Please, no Light Whips. That would be enough to keep me from buying it. Doublesabers are bad enough, and those were way too powerful in KoToR 1 and 2.

dual wielding two sabers or a saber+Short saber was better than double bladed I found. You could fit more upgrade crystals in. ;D

Screw Jedi.
I want to be a wookie, a professional Dancer.

---Oooooh, wait.

But seriously, more blaster battles, fewer Jedi.

Not sure if this was pointed out yet, but the Jedi count would depend on what the time line is. If it's during the Madalorian Wars than there should be a large amount of Jedi wandering around however if it's past the Jedi Civil War than shouldn't the number be minimal?

SWO, before the restructure, allowed people to become Jedi after getting enough badges then they were sent on a quest and had to help defend a village four times. Now you can pick Jedi off the bat, Jedi/Sith should be earned not given.

Also this.

It's possible everyone could be a Jedi during this period, and I HOPE it's during the Mandalorian war and it lets you be a Mandalorian. mmmMmMmM.

Hows about lets not make a KotOR MMO? Seriously they've been multiplying like rabbits recently (MMORPGs that is), with Pirates of the Caribbean Online, Atlantica Online, etc. Its just going to turn out to be another bland at best experience (pessimistic as that statement may be it's also the most likely scenario) so I think they should just stick to the tried-and-true single player KotOR experience with an online mode maybe tied onto that, and if that isn't done at least throw in a single player story seperate from the online one.
