Spanish, I have a guy who keeps accidentally calling my number and his area code is from Mexico plus my girlfriend talks in Spanish to her friends when she wants to keep something secret from me.

Japanese. That is all.
Honestly I'm suprised this was so far down teh first page. I knew this would constitute 1/3th of all the answers the moment I laid eyes on the link to the topic.

Hebrew, Arabic & Russian, because I want to work in The Middle East & the former Soviet Union as a journalist, and it would certainly help. =) I'm actually going to start studying Hebrew & Arabic once I'm in University. There was just no point starting in high school.

German. I studied it for two years and then my high school doesn't offer it so I'm currently in Latin.

Icelandic. It just sounds really awesome. And I could read the Poetic Edda in more or less original form if I learned it.

Hungarian. Because theoretically endless word length and more or less infinite specification abilities and because fuck you.

My German needs some serious study, but I wouldn't mind learning French or Russian. Alas- there's never enough time.

Hebrew. Because I heard it being spoken and it sounded cool. Doesn't have any real applications other than that factor, because I don't really plan on using it.

Ancient Latin, so that something as simple as ordering off the dollar menu sounds like im performing an exorcism.

I'd like to be able to speak Cantonese, that way I can butt in on random conversations down in China town and surprise people.

As a side note I already speak French and Japanese (which I learned 50% to scare people) but I could use a bit of improvement, especially the French.

Spanish. So I can pass Spanish class.

Plus it's annoying seeing Spanish in instruction manuals and there is a rapidly rising number of Hispanics in the US.
