Stanley fell to the ground exhausted, It had taken a long time, but he had saved his people.
Granted it wasn't much, a few pimps surrounded by their harems, drug dealers and other horrible criminals. Karen's nanobots were working fearlessly as she climbed up the building all of her arsenal clanking on her back. She shouted to herself "COME ON! KEEP A MOVE ON!" Her armoured fingers dug into the brick and she dragged herself up. She got to the top unslung the rifle from her back. "The mouth of the wolf." she muttered as she pulled the trigger once launching a single bullet into the skull of a pilot in a helicopter.
"Interesting, interesting" Kor said "Clare, what have you turned into besides a bird and a cat?"
"Amazing" Kor said as he stood up. "Well the next obstacle of ours will be educating her, obviously you know many sciences, and I have been around for most of history"
Not really my place, but... you don't have language pr-programmed into your brain. You pick it up over years and your brain processes it, eventually forming understandable language. This is easiest at young ages when the brain is still developing, but it still can take up to two years of exposure, maybe more, not just enhanced chemical reactions. That's why it's harder to learn two languages as you get older, as your brain has stopped developing and it's hard to get something as complex as language in it.
<spoiler=OOC>The heat doesn't speed it up, it takes it to the Optimal Range, anything beyond that, the enzymes die, you die. Just because you can work past that, doesn't mean that it still shouldn't die... Either that or she will burn herself out quickly and become like an extremely fast ager and become a frail old lady when she is 20... Then so should Roxanne... I dun confused myself...

Amaranth stood there, looking at his hands. They had taken on a black tinge. His entire body had grown darker, his hair started to turn jet black, and the rest of his body just got a fine mist surrounding him, turning most things he saw into darkness. "Well, this is interesting" he said with a smile.
He started to flex his arms around, stretching the muscles, finding out if anything had changed. To his knowledge, he had only become slighlty faster, not stronger, but it would still do. He was currently stuck in his own little world, ignoring everything around him, revelling in his new dark powers.
