Yes, everyone will talk to a child upon birth. It would still take years for a normal child, and at least nine months for a child with advanced genes (this is a blind guess) to learn even simple language, like things beyond yes, no, mummy/mommy, and daddy. I actually am taking in to consideration things like superpowers, but, unless their power is advanced intelligences (as in Einstein levels in a few years) I can't really see this making much since...

Oliver, held up by May, converted his energy arm into a harpoon, and blasted the missile down the burning street towards Amaranth.

<spoiler=OOC>I feel so... so powerful... Anyways, I actually don't care what you decide to do. By the next arc (If any of you still want it) that supporting character will be long gone.

Amaranth was still enthralled by his dark mist surrounding him, enough not to notice the harpoon flying towards. He was flailing his arms about, having lots of fun, when he spear went right through his left hand. "Argh! What the hell?!" he yelled out, holding his hand as it started to bleed.

He turned around and saw Oliver. "What? You're not dead yet?" he yelled towards him as he ripped out the weapon.

Right, the next chapter's the one where all the side characters get the boot. Just don't erase them from existence, okay? I think we're all in agreement that the Quesada approach is undesirable.

"Not yet." Oliver replied, quickly reforming his energy arm. "Turns out, not even your partner in crime can put me down longer than a few minutes. Which makes you little more than a waste of time and energy." This time he turned his arm into a sharp boomerang, and tossed it. The projectile swung past Amaranth and into the air, before making a sharp turn and spinning back towards the villain.

Amaranth looked at the boomerang fly past him. "He was about to yell out a slander about his throwing abilities, or a cheap shot about not having an arm, but when he saw the useless weapon turn back towards him, he decided to not mock him.

He looked at the light energy fly towards him, and as it got close, he reached out and grabbed the end of it, stopping it from doing any serious damage. "Really? A Boomerang?" he said as he tossed it back at Oliver. The thing spun off and missed him completely, so he mumbled to himself "I always freaking hated those things..." before sending a massive lightning bolt straight from the palm of his hand with the huge hole in it.

As the lightning bolt arced from Amaranth's hands, Oliver shouted "Go!" to his wife. May sped away as Oliver crouched down to one knee, and turned his energy arm into a large shield. It enveloped him completely, and the electricity was unable to find a way inside. At the same moment May had circled around, and was charged Amaranth from behind, sword outstretched to run him through.

Amaranth had a closer eye on the girl as Oliver yelled out Go to her. As she ran around him, he eyed her carefully, making sure to know exactly where she was, he would glance at Oliver every so often to see if he was doing anything peculiar.

As May want for a stab, Amaranth dug out a hole in the ground, then took a few steps forward. When she was as close as he dared, he transported himself forward, dodging the run through, and teleporting her right over the hole, hoping for her foot to be caught in it so she might injure herself.

With a bit of luck, May's velocity was so great that she was able to glide harmlessly over the hole. She turned around to face Amaranth and completely disappeared, her super-speed at critical highs. She darted around the entire block in the span of half a second building up speed, before coming back behind Amaranth in an attempt to knock him out with a single punch.

Amaranth lost sight of his opponent. He frantically looked around, panicking at where the next attack would come from. He tried his best to clam his thoughts, but couldn't manage it. 'Behind you!' a Dark voice screamed in his head. He had no time to question the thought and jumped into the air, increasing his jump height with air powers. He just managed to dodge the attacker.

He landed, this time being smart enough to bring up defences. Large tendrils of Fire reached out, threatening to incinerate anything that came to close. 'What the hell are you?' he asked his own mind, trying to see what the voice that gave him the knowledge earlier was.

The hell?.. May thought to herself as she passed by Amaranth. She attempted to go in for another attack, but the fiery tendrils were in her way. She ran back to Oliver, who in this whole time had only had enough time to get back up.

"Got any way around those tentacles?" She asked him.

"Yeah, I do." Oliver replied. "Now that I think about it, I might be able to use this energy for more than just making weapons..." He then extended his third energy arm this battle, this one forming a dozen tentacles of light energy. They intertwined with the tendrils of fire, holding them in place long enough to give May an opening. She charged, the only clue that she was even there was the trail of rock being kicked into the air, she moved so quickly.

"Jason!" Oliver called as this was occurring. "Get into the fight, we need your help!"

Amranth was having an argument with his mind, or rather someone else mind in his head.

'I won't say it again, Who are you?'
'Who am I? Who am I? Who are the hell are you? Creep...'
'Wait what? You're the one invading my head.'
'You're the one who stole my energy'
'Wait what?'
The voice audibly sighed, 'You remember the Demon guarding the black hole? That's me, or was until you rudely at me.'
'Wait what?' he repeated again.

The voice sighed again, 'Listen, I am taking over your body now, I have taken the rest of your energy, so I am stronger now. Get out of my new body.' the Demon thought.

Amaranths mind went blank for a few seconds, and as it returned, he saw his own body being twisted by some unknown force. The hair lengthened, turned darked than jet black, seemingly starting to suck in light. His teeth lengthened and his arms grew claws. "This is good" The demon muttered to himself.

As May neared the new body in Amaranths. It reached out and grabbed her by the face, snarling at her then throwing her away, back towards Oliver.

<spoiler=OOC>Wow, I have a feeling I wrote that badly...
Anyway, The demon he absorbed earlier, has now taken over Amaranths body, forcing him out of it for the time being. You are now fighting a pure Demon, so woo, o holding back since it now has no human in it any more.

May tumbled across the ground, standing up a few feet away from Oliver covered in scratches and scrapes. "Oliver." She stated. "Something big just changed about Amaranth."

"What exactly do you mean?" Oliver asked, hoping she had an explanation.

"Amaranth absorbed one of Renegade's demons earlier. It must have possessed him or something."

"No, that's wrong." Oliver stated confidently.

"What are you talking about, that's the only explanation!"

"It's also IMPOSSIBLE." Oliver refuted. "Renegade's demons were loyal to him and him alone. There's a reason Anovas didn't just take them back; they were volunteers, for lack of a better term. If you want my theory, Amaranth's mind is reacting negatively to the energy he absorbed from the demon, and a part of it fragmented into what he thinks a demon should act like. With as many powers as he has, the physical changes are almost a given."

May stood there dumbfounded. "All right then, Mr. Psychiatrist, what do you suppose we do about it?"

"Same as before: kill it." Oliver wondered if the Demon-Amaranth's psychological ideas were founded on stereotypes. He conjured a glowing orb of light and made it intensely bright, to see if he would react negatively.

Amaranth looked at the orb of light then snarled at it. "You suppose that would work simpleton?" His voice resounded. It completely changed from his regular light voice, changed to a more sinister and deep tone.

A smile spread across his face, the smile showed way to much teeth, and his lips spread to far apart, showing his sharp teeth, "And not all of us were loyal to that fool Anovas or Renegade. Why else would everyone else be dead or incredibly injured? Apart from me" his smile some how grew larger. "I'll give you the first attack, Mortal" he replied.

"If you know who we are," Oliver said to the demon. "then you already know that you're as good as dead."

He stood up, suddenly alone in the street, save for his foe. The energy coming from his shoulder swirled, and formed... a giant foam energy finger. He waved it in the air and shouted, "Humans number one, asshole! Bring it on!"
