2 years sounds good to me, but I'm thinking we'll need to find a new city to destroy. This one's gonna take a while.
"May!" Oliver called out, grinning from ear to ear as he saw Jason join the fight. "Toss me!" His energy arm converted into a large battering ram as May sped up beside him, grabbing him by the wrist and spinning in a circle as fast as she could, without tearing Oliver's arm straight off. When enough momentum was built she let him go; Oliver flew down the street at mach speed, aiming his blunt attack at Amaranth, hoping it'd be enough to get through his armor.
Rachel followed Emily, listening closely. "Okay, makes sense, but... which way would the docks be, and wouldn't they be very damaged after all of this fighting?" She tried to keep pace with Emily, and occasionally had a small coughing fit from inhaling the gas. Still, she was ready to listen to Emily about anything as long as it got them off the island.
Amaranth braced himself. He opted for a stance that would make him difficult to move, and he converted some of the earth to cover his feet, to increase his chance of not moving. He moved his hands in front of his body, just in time for Oliver to crash into him. His hands caught most of the impact, taking the energy and storing it. It pushed him back a little, cutting at his feet with dragging through the ground, but he didn't move back to far.

Oliver was tossed back at high velocity from Amaranth's counter attack. Before he could get far, May came back in and grabbed him, setting him on the ground about 20 feet from Amaranth before jetting off again. The confused hero stood up and shook his head to regain a sense of composure, and immediately returned to the battle. His arm, this time, formed a strange crystalline structure. Its jagged edges shot off dozens of spikes as they peppered Amaranth, trying to find a weak point.
Amaranth hissed at Oliver as he sent dozens of spikes in his direction. His Dragon claws elongated, forming large blades to be at the end of his fingertips. He began slashing at the spikes, cutting them into neat 7 segments, each blade cutting cleanly through the spike, separating it from the others.
He had to dodge one as it got past is defences, then another slammed into his stomach again, the same place where Jason had hit him earlier. He acted like nothing happened, though it hurt a lot.

Oliver seized on the opening presented to him, and noted to himself that en masse strikes seemed too fast for Amaranth to keep up with. He swapped out his crystal structure for a chaingun, which seemed simple enough to use. He let loose with a torrent of small energy bullets, attempting to blow straight through his defenses.
Amaranth knew he was in trouble, and that trying to defend against all of that would be futile. His wings expanded out and he leapt into the air, escaping the current onslaught of bullets. As he flew up, he raised his hand, the earth around Oliver began to shake and lift up, two massive pieces around the side moved apart and then moved quickly towards each other, aiming to crush Oliver.
