Amaranth brought up his arm to block, he could not dodge it in time. His arm hardened in attempt to not chop through his arm, and it worked a little bit. His arm help in place, but the force broke the scales and sent him flying down wards. He landed on the ground with a thud, saving the energy from both the sword hit and the landing.

He looked up at Oliver, and pointed at him again. Ice formed to his left, a thunder spear came down from the heavens and a fire ball from underneath him.

Oliver had no chance to dodge, but May saw the attack coming and quickly leaped from the building, knocking Oliver away in time to avoid the detonation from the collision of the three attacks. The two of them fell to the ground, rolling away and ending up with several new scrapes. Oliver stood up, but May was unable to move, her leg broken from the impact. As she crawled to safety, Oliver's energy arm reverted to its normal shape, and grasped a newly-conjured spear. He charged Amaranth while he was still on the ground, and made multiple stabs with his spear.

Amaranth hardened his hands and parried away each blow, pushing it down to avoid being stabbed. One attacks seemed to viscous to dodge normally, so when hi palm tapped it, he let some of the broadsword energy go, cutting the sear in half, letting it fall harmlessly in front of him. He then dodge in the useful attack zone of the spear and tried to ram his palm into his stomach.

Jason hadn't expected how easily his attack would have hit Amaranth, so he was naturally shocked when he had seen Amaranth fly away into the building. After Amaranth had recovered, Jason brought up his shields and flew up into the sky, avoiding nearly every attack Amaranth had thrown in a counter-attack. He had been charging up his energy for the last few minutes, and now he finally released it, aiming his arm down at the chasm and letting energy form into an orb. Once it seemed the orb could grow no larger, it burst open, letting all of the energy it had stored speed down to the earth.

The energy raced down into the crater, and after a few seconds an enormous explosion could be heard, right before a river of lava exploded upwards, flying hundreds of feet into the air. More cracks in the earth formed, lava bubbling up to the surface after Jason's attack, threatening to destroy what little remained of the city.

Emily sighed, not knowing how to respond to Rachel. Emily knew she was right, but didn't know what else to do. She continued walking for a few minutes before slowing down and trying to think of another plan off the island.

"Maybe the docks are damaged, but I don't see any other way off the island. Jason is the only one out of the three of us who could fly, and I don't have enough energy to bring up a flying disc for us to use... so unless we think of something we're stuck here." Emily said, right as an enormous explosion sounded. She looked back to see lava flying up hundreds of feet in the air and threatening to drown the city in it.

Oliver took the hit, but only to help get some distance from Amaranth as he saw Jason's attack. His mind raced as he tried to figure out why Jason would further the island's destruction like that, while still trying to fight. He made an object that looked like a spear, but the tip was elongated into a curved blade instead of a point. He swung the weapon gracefully, bringing down a diagonal slant at Amaranth's shoulder.

Jason seemed to be healed by the heat below, restoring whatever power he had lost and letting him move somewhat faster. Jason darted back down to the ground, taking little to now time at all to land beside Oliver who seemed rather beat up. Jason noticed something rather strange about Oliver, a glowing mass were Oliver's arm used to be. Jason concluded that Fafnir must have damaged Oliver pretty badly while Jason had been fighting Amaranth. Due to Jason's attack, the entire island was unstable. Any false step could be the end of someone, and Jason didn't want to take that chance.

He held back, and waited for an opening were Oliver and Amaranth broke apart from combat so Jason could strike un-interrupted.

Amaranth raised his hands where the blade was striking down, and an ice shield formed around his hands. As it was about to hit the shield, the ground shook violently, he was not prepare for this. His shield moved away from the swinging blade, only hitting it lightly to move it from a killing blow to just something painful.

The curved spear bounced off of the shield and buried itself into his shoulder. He roared out with pain, but still stood, blood began to drip down his shirt, a much darkred red than should be possible. The pure light weapon began to darken, the blade losing its lustre, then becoming grey, then finally to black. The process happened up the blade, it kept on moving towards Oliver.

Rachel saw the stream of lava coming up and grabbed Emily. She floated them a few feat in the air. "Emily, can you make a disk and hold us for a bit? I think we might be able to get off the island if we can make it to one of the military safe zones and take a helicopter out, though I'm not sure if they're still around." She said, having to yell to be heard over the din of the explosions.

Oliver let go of the spear, and watched the oddly corrupted weapon fall to the ground. It did not disappear, for some reason. I guess... his blood corrupts energy? Can it do that? At least I know not to touch him directly now.

He took a quick hop backwards, as his energy arm converted into what could only be described as Mega Man's arm cannon. His other hand formed a spike-chain launcher. He launched the chain first, intending to hold Amaranth in place, then followed up with the cannon, firing a trio of energy bursts.

Amaranth took a deep breath, then wrenched free the corrupted weapon. He held back a muffled scream, the preceded to heal up the wound, he could not move his fingers on that hand, but could still move the arm, just. As the chain flew towards him, he created a massive shield made out of ice in front of him.

The spikes on the chain embedded themselves into the shield, which had started to melt already, a few drops of water poured from it. He pushed the shield forward, extending it out each side, causing it to grow and not melt yet. As it grew, Amaranth ran around it, moving to a different spot so his next attack wouldn't hit him. He ran to the left of him, and kept the ice band growing and closing in on Oliver.

Jason finally stepped in, flying in front of Oliver and creating a shield of black flames to fight back the approaching ice. He then fired three more fireballs, each aimed towards Amaranth. He wanted to help Oliver and bring down Amaranth at the same time, but he couldn't do it alone so he needed to protect Oliver if he wanted to stand any chance of beating Amaranth.

As soon as Jason had given him an opening, Oliver flew up into the air, high enough that Amaranth's shield would be irrelevant, and began to spray energy balls from his cannon. They coated the area all around the villain, trying to blanket him in so much firepower that he couldn't escape.

Amaranth pulled his shield back as quick as he could, the flames melted most of the ice, but it still withstood the force of the blow. He reformed some more of it, in time to block Oliver's onslaught. The shield buckled near the end, and some of the energy made it through.

The energy was encapsulated within the dome of ice, making it worse for the few seconds he was still in there. He broke out, leaping into the air as high as he could, he jumped much higher than Oliver, and sent a fire laser in his direction.

Oliver barely had time to let out a yelp before the laser smashed into his stomach, sending the hero plummeting. His impact left a small crater in the street, which the dust enshrouded for only a moment. Oliver then leapt from the impact zone, flying up into the air as he let out a wild volley of energy blasts at Amaranth.

Well, since Skype is being an ass, I decided to post in here... and noticed that Pyro forgot my post again. The very violent personality (not the nice one or the promiscuous one) personality that currently has hold over my body is starting to get a little mad with all the times my posts have gone on forgotten...

Emily nodded, struggling to make a rather small disc, just large enough for them to remain in the air. Emily knew that this was Jason's doing, but didn't think it the right time to tell Rachel.

"Were is the base? I thought everywhere was already evacuated!" Emily cried out, managing to raise them above the wave of lava and keep them steady before Rachel answered.

Jason joined Oliver's attack, darting up into the sky with his longsword in hand. If they kept pressing Amaranth he would most likely weaken soon, so thats just what they needed to do. While Oliver blasted Amaranth with energy blasts, Jason darted behind Amaranth, hoping that Oliver's attack would distract Amaranth enough for Jason to deal a crippling blow.

Jason swung his blade in a large arc, something meant to cut Amaranth in half.

Sorry for the late post, I thought I had already replied to this but apparently I didn't. I will try to post more often, but its nearing the Holidays so I probably won't be able to post as frequently as I have in the past.

It's kay. I just thought that you might have caught it after two days...

Rachel looked around for a moment, then pointed back towards the split. "It's past the split, and it was one of the new outposts they put in. I was living there for a bit after they took over some of the island again!" She yelled. This isn't good... almost no way out, Jason is going to be an idiot and get himself killed, and, worst of all, I'm probably going to make it out of here and have to live with two dead boyfriends... She looked up at Emily and waited to go towards the outpost, hoping to get off the rock that was slowly being destroyed.

"Alright, I'll head that way now." Emily said, their disc moving at a decent pace towards the other side of the island. They happened to pass by the fighting on their way there, and Emily looked down to see Jason attacking from behind while Oliver was attacking from a distance with his energy.
