Get you attention?
Not quite what I had expected, but it'll work. FYI, you're the source of the disturbance, and only you can see the door opening and you're the only one that can enter it.

As Magus roiled in the depths of his own mind, on some level he sensed a disturbance somewhere out in the city. Unconsciously, he opened a door to his Sanctuary near the disturbance, and invited the source into his abode.

"Look, kid, you want fucking medics or not?" Rachel said, turning around to see the kid completely healed. "What the... ho, some kind of super, I see. Well... don't mess around around here, okay? And I want your name." Rachel said, crossing her arms. She didn't seem to notice the door, but she did keep a close eye on it. That thing is not right. Jason is probably looking for whoever made that thing...

Rachel looked at the broken and destroyed body. "Sure." She said before picking up some rubble and burying the body beneath it. "There, done. Now, get out of here before the cops show up. I'll tell them that I was fighting some guy when he flew off through here and I tried to take him down, making the place collapse." She said, her arms still crossed.

Umbra was amazed by Magus's Sanctuary and its almost otherworldly appearance. Of course, the amazement died when Magus collapsed. Cursing mentally, Umbra inspected the markings. Backlash from the ritual? Well, in any case, it's a good thing he didn't hit his head. Umbra was about to move Magus when a - man's? woman's? - voice sounded behind her. Turning around, she stood defensively. "Who are you?" she asked, not overly intimidating but neither warmly. They might not be a problem, but - for now...

Oh, so Magus let her in. "Ah, alright then," Umbra said - now more warmly. "If Magus let you in, it should be fine then." Umbra went to hold out her hand to shake, then retracted it. Right, burns. "They call me Umbra. Would you mind giving me a hand with Magus, Alex? He fell here and I need to put him somewhere less problematic."

Rachel sighed. Well, if I go through, I will find a fight, but I might also find something that could help Jason. If I go home, then I might end up letting people die. She sighed again and uncrossed her arms. She was ready to step through the door, but instead took out her phone again. She called Jason, hoping that he would pick up. If this was somethign he needed, then she would follow, otherwise, she would stay.

Umbra walked over to Magus (not even a few feet). "Here he is, and... let's just turn him so we can prop his feet up on the doorstep. I'm pretty sure he didn't hit his head on the way down, but no need to move him too much." Good thing I remembered how to deal with this before moving him Umbra thought, referencing her instructions on dealing with fainted people.

As Umbra and Alex started to prop Magus up, he suddenly woke up.

"Ugh," he moaned groggily, "Hey Umbra... and... aren't you Alex? How did you get here?"

Jason heard the crash from up in the air, and he decided it would be best to split up and see if they could solve two problems at once:

"Oliver, do you want to go see what that noise was while I go investigate these black flames?" Jason asked, looking over at Oliver.

Jason had begun to wonder when he first set eyes on the black fire, who was this other character who could use black flame like Jason could? Jason knew that there were other people who could create flame, but he had never met another person with colored flames.

This should be an interesting encounter... Jason though.

Magus stood up, walked over to the door, and starred at the odd woman on the other side, wondering how she could see the door if he hadn't invited her in... even unconsciously.

Shaking that thought from his head, he closed the door.

"So... did I miss anything?" he asked.

"No, you were only out of it for a minute. What happened, anyway?" Umbra figured it had to do with the ritual, but it's not impossible that it was something else. "Did it have to do with... earlier?" She refrained from specificity due to Alex's presence.

"Yes and no," Magus replied simply, "Let's just say for now that my encounter with the Other re-opened an old wound. Oh, and to answer your questions Alex... this is my home, my Sanctuary. Here is where I am at my strongest. Here is the Nexus of my power. As for the doors, I command every part of this place as though it were a part of my own body... and in some ways... I am a part of it. Supers? You mean supernatural abilities? For now... all I'll give about myself is a polite warning I give to all new acquaintances of interest: do not interfere with the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger."
