As they followed Rachel, Magus started holding a telepathic conversation with Darian.

Darian... that's a really pretty name. Sorry... uh... she went left. So, how do you think the plan is going so far? I'm a little concerned about the woman she rescued... if she remembers anything about the Sanctuary and how we rescued her... it could be enough for someone clever enough to put the pieces together... we may need to find some means of silencing her... though I hope it doesn't come to that.

Hivemind surveyed his surroundings. Back in Bright Grove or forward in Bright Grove. "This is crazy. How the heck is this possible." He shrugged and when he had left he had followed Paragon very cautiously. He knew Paragon was a good person but Hivemind was reluctant to get within arms-length.

Minus looked at Dren, "We have a massive armoury." he smiled, just as a small knife smacked him in the arm. He picked it up and looked at it, "The Hell?" he asked, before looking up and seeing no-one there. "Still confused, but whatever." he replied to himself. "Follow Me. Jean, I can get you a better shotgun, Dren... I can get you more pills... I don't know what else you want." he finished before starting to walk down the hallway, his mind racing over the details for the attack.

Ashe looked at the ground below them, really hoping that Minus didn't see them and try and kill them while they were fairly un-protected.

The trip was uneventful. A few minutes in Alex appeared, breathing heavily, looking like he was about to vomit. By the time they had made it to the Head Quarters, he was completely fine.

After a few hours of flying, They made it to Eurasia. The island had almost completely healed over the incident that was now 27 years ago. The main city was back up to his usual lustre, being mostly a big and bustling city.

Looking from the sky, still amazed at the view, he couldn't see the Head Quarters anywhere. He was about to ask if Oliver knew where he was going, but just as he opened his mouth, he saw it. Minus was right about their base not being secret at all, in the town square, an area covered in trees, there was a massive protruding building.

The building was large, not incredibly tall, only around 3 stories, but was still massive in width and depth. Ashe was amazed at the building, "We live there? Sweet!" he said to everyone. He had put the girl he was holding gently on the ground, hoping that she would wake up soon.

As they moved closer, he could see the finer details. The building was covered in a simple white paint, which was amazingly, clean and in now way was vandalised or chipped, it was just a perfect white coat of paint. The building was very minimal, looking like a building not wishing to draw too much attention to itself, which was strange, considering its location, and the amount of signs advertising it as "The Renegades Base"

As the bubble hit the ground, Ashe picked up Charmer and walked her inside. The first room had nothing but a reception desk, with one lonely girl sitting there, looking bored out of her mind. As he wlaked in, she tried to fix herself, make herself look neat and tidy, like she had nothing better to do than wait for people to walk in.

She smiled at him and asked,
"Hello, is there anything I can do for you today?" in a very cheery voice.

<spoiler=OOC>Yay, you are now all at the HQ... Remember to OM me your upgrade plan thingo.

"Oh sorry, it was kind of a bad time to ask questions you know?" Minus said to Jean as he walked down the hallway, "Well, you are alive, though you joined up with Oliver. I can't remember what he did, but he did it. Your brother on the other hand, being the fool he was, tried to attack me, by himself. Needless to say he died within a few seconds of fighting." He told to Jean, "Sorry about your loss, but he did attack me..." he added onto the end, hoping to keep his alliance with Jean.

Magus examined his room... the room of this Other version of him... oh so familiar and yet oh so strange... Heimlich and UnHeimlich. The room was set up exactly like his Sanctuary; a meticulously organized work-bench on one wall and a meticulously organized desk and cabinet. With a small table in dead center. The bed neatly made in the darkest corner of the room. The lighting of the Sanctuary mimicked with bars of green and blue neon along the bare spots on the black walls and ceiling casting the oddest of shadows all across the room. It was all so sublimely uncanny.

Something on the desk caught Magus's attention, he picked it up to examine the object. It looked like an addition to his staff... an upgrade. He placed it on his staff gingerly, and it fell off. Magus picked it up and took a closer look at it. He realized that he would need to attach his Sanctuary Key - the only one- in order for the upgrade to work.

Umbra? Did you leave anything in my Sanctuary that you want to take out of it? If you don't tell me now, you may never be able to retrieve it again. I found an upgrade to my staff that requires my Sanctuary Key... this upgrade could give me the edge I need... but... it will lock me from my Sanctuary... possibly permanently. So I ask again, is there anything you need to get out of there before I lock it off?

Oh, Fastforward. Editing...

Darian looked around the room of future-Umbra. It was largely what she expected: Dark without the lights on, spartan, with anything valuable hidden away. Other than some spare clothes, she'd found odd black batons - Why are they black? Was I unable to camouflage them? - and other items in the strange black color. She was about to inspect one closer when Geoff asked her about the Sanctuary. No, Geoff, I didn't leave anything in there. All I have is on my person.

Umbra was about to give up when she noticed a golden necklace lying out. Huh, why would I leave out such a pretty necklace? Walking toward it, she made sure (as well as she could) that it wouldn't set anything off and then examined it; unfortunately, she found the issue. It's flaked in this spot next to the pendant; very clever of me to set out a fake. Wait a minute... The pendant was an odd shape and... that same black. Okay, what's up with this black stuff? It's obviously important here, or else all this stuff wouldn't be here. It's pitch black, light... She tried to bend the pendant in two, failing. Really sturdy for something so light. Speaking of light... She turned on a light, hoping to inspect it closer. Of course, looking closely under the light... Is it... smoking? Why it is breaking apart in the light? What does that? A moment of thought betrayed the answer. But could it really be...? She pulled it back from the light; it stopped smoking. Crap... Her face paled. It HAD to be that, didn't it? *sigh* Oh well, if my future self got this to work, I - I guess I can too. Umbra got up, closing the door to the room. But I'm doing this in private, that's for sure. Umbra got to work, using that second power of hers to try and emulate the pendant.

"Not sure, I didn't kill him at least." Minus answered Jean. He finally made it to the end of the hallway, and opened a locked door with his left hand, ripping away the lock with ease. He opened the door and found a room full to the brim with weapons. It had swords, scythes, bows and arrows, and guns too. Even a few rocket launchers.

He walked in and grabbed a shotgun off the wall. It looked about the same as a normal one, but it had a few blue streaks running down its side. "Future Tech." he said to Jean as he tossed the gun at him. "This is a new shotgun that was developed. It shoots further, and harder than your shotgun would. Plus, it's bullets don't run out very often, it has a massive magazine that just chips the bullets off and fires them, much easier than loading new bullets each time." he said to Jean, then stepped aside and waved his hand to Dren, "Take whatever you want or need."

Oliver walked into the reception area, and looked around. He was already worried. May definitely wouldn't have stood for this minimalist decoration. His mind flooded with various theories of what could have happened to his family, but on the outside he kept a calm appearance. He approached the secretary and set his arm down on her desk to prop himself up.

"Hello. I'm looking for the Langley family. Are any of them around?"

Rachel slowly landed Eurasia. It had taken her several hours, and, by now, she was incredibly tired. She barely kept from collapsing as she walked through the streets of the city, following the many signs that led to the Renegades headquarters. She stumbled in to the building, the secretary looking at her strangely. "Huh, Miss, may I help you?" She asked. Rachel looked at her. "I, huh, I'm here to see Jason Cole. I'm Rachel, Rachel Cole. Or you might have me as Rachel Black, I'm not sure." The secretary typed on a computer and looked up her name. She just pointed down a hallway and said "Your room is up the stairs, on the left side. They're labeled, so it shouldn't be too hard to find it. Just come to me if you need any help." Rachel moved down the hallway, headed up the stairs, and soon found her room.

Once inside she checked a few places, looking for anything left behind by her future self. Any idea of what had happened to her life. She eventually found the armor she had in a closet, though it looked like it had a few upgrades to the armor. "Well, guess I know what I'm testing as soon as I get in a fight." She said, laying down on the bed. In a few short minutes, she drifted into a light sleep, the closet door still open.

All right then Darian. How are you settling into your new... er... is your room comfortable for you? You seem a bit agitated, are you okay?

Magus reached into the folds of his cloak, and pulled out a meticulously detailed journal of his life up to this point. He updated it, then used his Sanctuary key one last time to open up his Sanctuary. Once it was opened, he tossed his journal into the Sanctuary, and closed the door.

Darian, I have placed my journal in my Sanctuary... where its information will become a permanent part of it... it seemed a good precaution since I get the feeling we haven't seen the last of time-travel. I want you to know that... no... its better I tell you in person after we've both settled in.

With that Magus used his Sanctuary key on his staff to apply the upgrade. No fantastic light show, no sparks, no heat... nothing... no show. Odd... but then... why would I need to put on a show for myself?

For everyone's reference, this staff upgrade allows me to teleport up to the top of buildings by touching them and willing myself to ascend them, or anywhere within a level 20-foot radius. My fire-based attacks are a little more potent, and I can combine my force-field and fire abilities to create walls of fire around myself. And unless I destroy my staff, I can no longer access my Sanctuary. If I destroy my staff... I am almost defenseless.

Not right now, Magus. Mentally agitated after Magus's interruption prompting presumably another failure, she looked back at the pendant. Why do I have to have this ridiculous power? Magus gets to teleport, there's the androgynous immortal, and there's me, who goes fast in the dark and makes powder THAT WON'T DO ANYTHING! More "powder" began to puff. Oh, fantastic. Now I'm beginning to lose what control I managed over this... Umbra laid down on her other self's bed. Why did I even try this? It took me months to get it to STOP appearing... Self-pity ended quickly as Umbra fell into a light sleep...

"Noah?" The receptionist asked, "You don't have to be so formal around here. Your dad is off in his room last time I saw or heard of him, about 5 hours ago? He might be sleeping." she smiled at him, "And your mum, I'm not sure, she muttered something about the rat pack and left, haven't seen her for a few days." she answered Oliver, mistaking him for his son.

Ashe carried the still unconscious girl into what looked like the infirmary. He laid her down on her bed, and stood up to turn off the light. Before he left, he took another look at her and smiled, he saw her differently after she had saved him, and hoped she would be awake soon so he could thank her properly.

He walked upstairs ad found his room. He walked around and saw a much to large bed for just him. 'Interesting. Apparently I don't sleep alone... Nice...' he thought to himself as he looked around. He walked over to what he thought was the closet, so he could see what clothes future him wore, but as he opened it, he found a small blacksmithing room.

"Eh?" he said out loud to himself as he walked in. The walls were covered in lots of weapons, some of them were large, like massive War hammers, and some were really small like throwing knives. He walked to the closest one, and wrenched it from its hanging place. The second he did, he felt a rush of energy flow into him. He felt stronger and faster than he had in his life.

He dropped the blade, and moved on. 'That must have been on of my enchantments... But I can't do anything that powerful...' he though to himself as he wandered around. At the back of the room, he found a small notepad.

He flicked though a few pages, finding scribbles in his hand writing. About mid way, the writing became more legible, like he was writing some important down. He had scribbled up the top, underlined and larger than everything else. "Double Enchantments".

He stopped and read the page eagerly, trying to find if his future self figured out how to do that.

"Take as much as you like" Minus offered him, "I have plenty of these hidden up my sleeve anyway." he joked to him. "Um, I think both, but the full automatic shotgun hurts, unless you are rally braced and determined. It has a small switch on the top, flick that to change." he answered Jean.

Magus could sense Darian's irritation and distress. Then he felt a bit woozy and realized that Darian must have fallen asleep. Hoping to comfort her and offer her whatever help he could when she woke up, he walked out of his room shut the door behind him. He walked for about five minutes until he reached Darian's room. He found the door wide open. Magus walked in quietly and knelt beside Darian's sleeping form. He gently picked her up and tucker her into her bed. He sat down on the floor a few feet away from her bed, gave into Darian's weariness and slept. His consciousness slipped into hers and he felt that they were now sharing a dream... then he surrendered completely to Darian's dream.

Well Vuvu, I guess that'd be your cue to start describing the shared dream.

Okay, but I'm not sure how much Magus can interact, so I'll take it slow. Also, cookie to anyone who figures out what inspired the setting. Also, it's hard to write a weird dream setting while allowing for interaction.

Darian found herself inside an abandoned building, pillars and scaffolding heading straight vertically to the ceiling. The room was dark, only lit by streaks of the setting sun. "Hello?" Darian asked, her voice echoing to the emptiness. Looking around, she saw something on one of the room's support columns; it was white. She walked forward, reaching for it with a pitch-gloved hand. It shattered, and the room changed. The afternoon sun became white, and the shadows pure black. A voice pierced the darkness.

"You seek to master the shadows."

Oliver was stunned to hear the receptionist call him Noah. He thought about the consequences of this, and looked at the stump where his arm would normally be. Before he could dwell too long on a thought that grim, he nodded to the woman. "Thank you." He said, and left the room. His visor accessed the security network quickly. It seemed that after all this time he still used the same password.

JillnDanLangley. Mom and Dad.

He walked through the headquarters, admiring the interior as best he could. As much as he wanted to critique it, he found he couldn't really think of anything to improve on. Whether it was because the building was built as best as possible, or because this was the best he could come up with both now and in the future he did not know. After some exploring he found the room that the security grid labeled as his. He lifted his hand and knocked on the door three times and said "Open up, it's you."

Edited post.

Magus wandered through this strange world of light and shadow. Magus felt that if he could determine what this dream meant, he might learn more about Darian... though at some point, he felt he would also need to invite her into one of his dreams. Magus made some observations and tried to determine the best way to blend in, so as not to disturb Darian's dream any more than he had simply by being there.
