We could...you know...wait for the game to come out before we make judgment calls. As for Final Fantasy series, that is for good reason. While the story and characters are okay depending on who you ask, the gameplay has devolved to "Move here and push this button until you win."

Lastly, 9/10 times, the people complaining about a sequel are the very vocal minority.

The "Camo suit" Refers to putting Chameleon sigil stone enchants on your pants, helm, shirt, boots, underwear, untill it stacks to 100% chameleon...(well, I think.)

I'm technically not allowed to speak, because my favorite ES game is Daggerfall. So...

It won't beat Daggerfall, unless they re-implement climbing, levitation, and quarterstaffs.

Alright, but what about all the Morrowind fans? Are they going to suddenly fall in love with Oblivion? And, what's there to discuss? People like different things...
Yeah, what about the elder scrolls game that was actually GOOD?

I liked both games for different reasons. Sure, Oblivion's story was kind of ... meh... but I loved the gameplay. Not having to press one button to bring up magic when you wanted to cast a spell I thought was amazing. Making the block actually be a button instead of a random roll of the dice was great too. It made the combat more fluid. I was also elated that they took out stamina. I hated it when I would be running down a path, watching my stamina slowly tick away only to be ambushed by a hand-to-hand bandit who just knocked me down in one hit.

I also thought the streamlining of skills was a lot better in Oblivion (but axes in the "blunt" category...?). I haven't been keeping up with the developments in Skyrim, but I'm eager to see how Bethesda updates the Elder Scrolls experience with its sequel. It depends on what you value most in the series. I think if they had Morrowind's story with Oblivion's combat interface, I'd have my perfect Elder Scrolls game...

I liked Morrowind better than Oblivion. I won't know which I'll like better when Skyrim comes out... They all differ in the reasons why they rocked. Why can't they all rock, in their own way?

Are you familiar with the concept of a "Megaphone minority"? It's when the minority of any group is so loud and whiny that people think they're the majority. I'm sure most people enjoyed Oblivion. I know I did.

I don't know why you're hating on Skyrim, how did you not enjoy hearing Morgan Freeman voice Cpt. McAwesomeHat?

Honestly, I'll probably rent/buy Skyrim play it for a week and get bored.

I think the Morrowind the zealots will still be the Morrowind zealots, and we might see a few of those who either didn't play Morrowind or genuinely liked Oblivion more defend that into the ground, probably citing mods, but how can we hate Skyrim? You have SEEN what they're promoting, what they've promised, yeah anyone who's played more than CoD can read those feature lists and recognise how each could go horribly wrong, but bethesda have learnt, the Fallout series has taught them well.

I'm optimistic. I'm never optimistic. I might be gay now, I'll look into it. Either way, if it fails me all I have to do is come here and rant about the good old days of Oblivion.

I don't understand, you are such a troll hahahahahahahahahahahahahah, ok sorry about that. How can you hate a game or say it "sucks" if you haven't played it yet, or have seen any actual gameplay footage?

Well. Morrowind will still be better than both. If Bethesda thought Oblivion was a step in the right direction then Skyrim doesn't have a bright future.

In all seriousness, I have no faith that I will find Skyrim enjoyable. Bethesda is on a trend that I don't like, and all announced content is still following that trend. I'm sure the masses will love it, but I'll just have to keep playing Morrowind instead.

It's one of those things with me.

If I hype a game up, there is almost no way I won't like it. Whereas if I don't care about it, it is much harder to sway me.

I thought Modern Warfare 2 was a good sequel, much like I liked Splinter Cell: Conviction waaaay more than I should have.

I came expecting a strange thread complaining about a game not yet released, instead i found a strange thread complaining about fanboy's who've yet to complain.

Sure Oblivion was a step down from Morrowind in my opinion. Does not make me a fanboy of Morrowind. I'm glad i had the PC version of Oblivion so i could no clip to the very end of all the stupid oblivion gates. Otherwise it would have sullied the experience further.
What mod let you skip to the end of the Oblivion gates?

I hate captcha.
Tilde (~) to let you access the dev console, then tcl to toggle clipping.
