A logical question. I've played this game several times, and not once have I found anything that resolves the Casus plotline. Maybe I'm just incompetent, but it just seems like cut content to me.
You CAN find his body, I found it it the Xbox version. It's along the right side path. It doesn't prevent this whole thing mind you, it just turns his father in to the "Well....he COULD have killed him!" state of mind.
Wow, I never knew that. Really says something about my general level of competence.
I think it speaks more to the game design, in that something which in the ordinary course of things would be important can have such little impact.

Case in point: I remembered how the whole Romeo-and-Juliet bit of this plot played out (it seriously must have been three or more years since I last played this game) but I'd completely forgotten there was another missing person involved.

Leave no one alive, and go with two single-bladed ligtsabers. It will come in handy when/if you get the Mantle of the Force and Heart of the Guardian crystals.

A few things:

-You can find Casus' body somewhere. It's around some of the vermin enemies (Kinrath or Kath hounds, I forget which). You can point it out to Nurik, and I forget how that can affect things.

-Loved the noir stuff, especially the monologue. I heard jazz, so that's how you know it's working. Either that or my dog was barking at the road construction. But it's a very jazzy bark, dig?

-Whenever anyone says any form of the word "frack", I can only picture old One Eye Tigh exclaiming, "It's in the frackin' ship!"

Is it odd that I read that in his voice?

Also, this is a bit Off Topic, but I thought I'd share my favourite Battlestar Galactica meme.

I'd think it be weird if you didn't read it in his voice. I wish I could snarl like that.

I'd actually like to see that meme here, actually.

"I must stop the sith!"

"No Revan, you are the sith"

And then Revan was the sith

Something like that.

Also, I beat KOTOR the other day. Light side male. I actually rather liked it.

I was catching up on the last few updates, and I saw that photobucket had deleted the images of the let's play. I don't know if this is a known issue or not, but it's only happened for update 15 and 16.

Really great let's play nonetheless, keep up the great work

Update 17:Crystal Chronicles

Last time, far too long ago, two families were about to gun each other down. Naturally, we chose to help them along the way.

"Why don't you just shoot each other and get it over with?"

"Like that time he stole my prize melon for the village fair! Such heinous crimes cannot go unpunished."

"Besides, I only stole your melon because you wrecked the snowman I made for the village Snowman building contest! The Devil will judge for that sin, monster."

"Can we just skip straight to the killing? I'm kinda on a tight schedule here."

"Oh, crap! They're reconciling! I better intervene, um...er... Hey, Nurik! [Blatant Lies]Y'know, er... Ahlan actually did kill Casus!"

"YES!"

"Kill them! Kill them all! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"YES!"

"SLAUGHTER! GLORIOUS, GLORIOUS, SLAUGHTER!"

(Ugh, my terribad screenshotting skills show themselves terribly here. Just imagine Nurik being riddled with bullets, twitching and convulsing, before falling to the ground, whispering his daughters name with his last breath as he succumbs to the darkness.)

The Cylons turn out to be miserably weak, and go down without so much as a second thought.

So, thats it. We just butchered two entire families for...kicks?

"Hell yeah, Narrator. Nothing more awesome than Genocide."

Quiet, you. You're not supposed to interact with me. Ahem. Anyway, let me show you one little thing that that cements the Jedi council as irredeemably evil:

Lets just let that sink in. The Jedi Council, supposedly the bastions of peace and order in the galaxy, meant to be the ultimate Lawful Good archetypes, HAVE COVERED UP A GENOCIDE.

Around the corner, at Makeout Peak we meet a pack of Mandalorians and their Duros buds, and after Varen mocks them for their less-than-stellar dates to the prom, we are forced to lay the smackdown on them.

Further on, we see a droid getting attacked by some beasts. After kicking their asses, we begin to question the droid.

"That was quite the beating you took. Rather funny, actually."

"Wait...what? Your owner abused you? Seriously?"

Hmm...this is starting to sound familiar...

"Er...ALL the time?"

"Um...probably not..."

Wow...this is pretty heavy subject matter for a Star Wars game...

"Are you suicidal or something?"

"Hmm, ok. But,I'll tell her that your still out here, so that she'll spend every day waiting for you to return, always burdened with the sad embrace of hope and longing."

"Eh. You should have seen what I did back at the old Sandral place."

"She has a point. This is a dick move, certainly, but its peanuts to what she did back there."

"Er...what did you do back there?"

"I caused two families to massacre each other just as they were beginning to reconcile their differences. The deaths of children were involved."

"...Oh No. No. No no no no no no no no nooooooo!"

"...Did that robot just plow itself up?"

"Godammit. I wanted to see to what measure a droid can feel pain."

"They can't, Varen."

"I can make anything feel pain. Gimme a whip, some chains, and a un/willing participant and I can make it bleed."

Not far from there, we see the entrance to a crystal cave. Unfortunately, it probably doesn't contain a talking crystal that will bestow us with jobs, but its our one stop shop for saber crystals on dantooine.

"This is rather dark. You'd think that, considering this is a cave containing lightsaber crystals in close proximity to a Jedi Academy, they'd at least make this place more accessible."

"And giant bug-things that look they've jumped right out of Starship Troopers! What the hell kinda bullshit is this?"

Thankfully, at the tail end of the cave, we come face to face with really horribly done polygonal shapes. Seriously, these crystals are terrible. I'm usually not the kinda person to harp on about graphics, this is a nine year old game, after all, but those crystals look like they jumped straight out of Bubsy 3D.

...Please say I'm not the only person who remembers/suffered through Bubsy 3D.

Either way, we get plenty of saber crystals, in varieties matching ALL (read:some) the colors of the rainbow.

Ugh. Let's get out of here before I start having vietnam/Bubsy 3D flashbacks.

As we journey across the plains to our original destination, we come across a final group of mandalorians.

They are less than pleased with how our previous encounters with their kin went.

"No, imbecile! Allow me to teach you why you pathetic mandalorian scum run in fear of the name Varen!"

In the ensuing battle, a little boy comes across the carnage, and accidentally spills his slush puppy all over the floor, immobilizing the enemy ranks. Zaalbar's undying love for slush puppies caused him to go into a feeding frenzy, devouring the delicous icy confectionery and the enemy alike.

"How exactly was that "honorable" Zaalbar?"

"Honor is second to Slush Puppies."

"Ah, of course."

Over the next rise, we come face to face with out objective.

"Frankly, considering the architecture seems to be BEGGING us to enter, I'm amazed the council didn't bother exploring it before now. The fact that it's literally around the corner from their temple doesn't help either."

"Varen, given the things you've learned about the council, are you really suprised that they were lazy when it came to this?"

"Hmm...actually, now that you mention it, no. No, I am not."

Inside the cave, we come face to face with this charming architecture. I can really see people being so happy while they built this.

"¡Detente! ¿Quién va? En el nombre de los constructores, ¡deténgase!"

"What the hell are you babbling about?"

"Je ne suis pas du babillage, fou insolent."

"This thing must be broken."

"Finally, it speaks something vaguely understandable. Stupid droid with its stupid languages."

The builders must have been an entire race of goths, then. This place is bleaker than the future of a company after they get bought by EA."

"Are you some kinda guardian? Do we have to answer vague bullshit questions that we have conveniently found the answers to on our quest?"

"No. My original model was like that, but we sold the copyright to some guy called Monty Python. I think they did something like that."

"Who are these builders you keep going on about?"

"Something must have happened to wipe the builders out. Like a race of giant metal space octopi who come to harvest all life every 50,000 years for an incredibly stupid reason."

"Don't be ridiculous, Varen."

"What is the Star Forge?"

"Yeah, but what is it?"

"Crap. I think we broke him."

"Like a giant metal space octopus?"

"Shut up, Varen."

"Hey, Fuck you, Bastila. Maybe it was a factory, or a weapons plant?"

"How long have you been here?"

"My god...the Star Forge...it's a CLOCK FACTORY! Such a diabolical thing must be destroyed/hijacked by me to use to further my own nefarious plans. Where can we find the Star Forge?"

"Nemo! No! Now he'll never find his white whale..."

That's Ahab, you idiot.

"Shut up, Narrator! I swear, one day, I'm going to ascend to a higher plane of existence, and kick your ass."

Sure you will.

"Did you kill Nemo?"

"Well, I sorta saw that coming. When is a temple NOT filled with deadly traps? How can I prove myself worthy?"

Ah, programming. The Sci-Fi writer's excuse for anything.

"Yeah! I'm totally doing this for alturistic means, and totally not to take this Star Forge myself and use its power to rule the galaxy with an iron fist."

"Honest."

Question Time! What is everybody excited for this year in terms of games? I was excited for Baldur's Gate enhanced edition, until they revealed that it was nothing more than a glorified re-release. Right now, the only things I'm genuinely hyped for are Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2.

I've been lurking around this LP for a while, thought I might as well join in, it's really good so far.

Heh, the crystals in Crash Bandicoot (which was released in 1996) look better than those!

Warriors Orochi 3, Romance of the Three Kingdoms XII and Bioshock Infinite.

I'm also keeping my eye on the Wasteland 2 and The Banner Saga kickstarter projects.

Welcome to the club! Refreshments are over there, and the VIP area is upstairs.

I'm a bit...wary of Bioshock Infinite. All the gameplay I have seen so far makes it look VERY linear, which is rather disheartening. That said, I'll still probably pick it up.

The others, I know next to nothing about. I think Warriors Orochi is a dynasty warriors style game, and while I'm not really a fan of those, I can definitely see the appeal.

The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition.

Apart from that, I don't think anything else piques my interest. Skyrim DLC?

I do have some doubts about the gameplay, but if there's one thing I'm already loving it's the aesthetic design and overall look of everything.

It's a Dynasty Warriors crossover, and don't worry I fully understand why some people don't enjoy those games. To me I guess they just have this certain charm that I love, being able to run around in a dress committing genocide with a feather fan while shooting lasers out of your hand...good times.

You have those too? For me, it?s Final Fantasy XIII.

The Witcher 2, mostly. And Borderlands 2. I?m going to preorder that almost for sure. I really liked the first game, it was actually a birthday gift to me about two years ago.

Those creatures in the cave are Kinrath, which I once heard described as a cross between a mantis and an owl (not from any official source, I know, but I can't remember where exactly I heard that).

I love how it has a fifth leg as a gotee...

What am I looking forward to? I'm actually in the mood to go through my backlog, which is way too big (Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Infamous
-Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Peace Walker HD, Dark Souls, Kingdoms of Amalur, Bastion, Trenched, Okamiden). And I kind of feel like playing Secret of Monkey Island again.

New games I'm looking forward to: The Witcher 2 (new for us 360 plebs, anyway), Risen 2, Wasteland 2, Banner Saga, Double Fine Adventure. I've got Kickstarter fever.

Borderlands 2, and the Baldur's Gate 'Enhanced Edition', even if it *is* just a glorified rerelease.
