Problem I see here is that people are too willing to trust a government that has a horrible track record for running business, everything they partake in basically is guaranteed to go insolvent.

And yes it has improved greatly over what it was during the Bush administration. I do know a few Vets. I have also read and seen stories all over the media saying how much the medical care for Vets has improved. Is it perfect yet? No, but it has gotten better.

Actually I have zero problem with the government COMPETING in the open market for health care insurance. This is fine, the problem I have is with the government thinking they can penalize the people who don't want insurance. I also have a problem with the government coming in initially as competition and taking over everything down the road. If they can compete in the open market, provide a comparable service and still keep the prices below the open market I will be totally fucking shocked and may be willing to change my mind.

Just look at everything else they do, they are fuckups and do next to nothing right, they won't do healthcare any better than the open market can do already, but I say let them compete so they force prices way down. So I will agree with govcare competition for now...

First and foremost they MUST FIX TORT REFORM! This will help bring prices down even further! Get rid of the ridiculous protectionist laws like not allowing insurance to cross state borders too!
