Not so much a spelling issue but more of a grammar issue:

Being from a place where English is a second language, you get a lot of retards who think that speaking English = SMRT!, without bothering to think what they say through, which makes them sound more like 'tards than they already do.

So when discussing things, some people have a habit of saying "some average people", and that just IRKS me.

And it's not like an issue of semantics, where the use of words would be superfluous, but saying that is dumb.

First off, "some" indicates a sub-section of a group, ergo, a minority. Secondly, "average" means the median of the group, who, while technically being a sub-section of a group (since you can pretty much divvy up the group into "average" and "not average"), have the position of ALSO being the vast majority of said group.

My irk here being the use of some and average to describe the same group, minority of the median group, which of course, DOES NOT COMPUTE.

People of my retarded homeland, which I try not to bring up in a good light because doing so would turn me into one of those raving buffoons who praises the country and remain totally blind to its immesurable shortcomings: you cannot be some and average. It's an "either/or" statement, not a "if/also"\

I'm always spelling THE as TEH or EHT when I'm typing quickly, just a weird quirk of the hand.
I hate it when people deliberately type "Teh" for "the" arrrg!!!!!!
however I can forgive the odd typo....

Edit: forgot to quote

Search Bar approved. If this has been done before, sorry, but you can't say I didn't try.

So, pretty much the title. Any little misspellings that, for whatever reason, kinda piss you off?

Me, I'd have to go with people who spell definitely with an a. Definately, definitaly, or the best, defiantly. I usually don't get too concerned when people spell badly, after all, it's what they're saying that counts. This one always irks me, though.
Having "definitely" as your pet-peeve misspelling is unfortunate: I believe it is the word misspelled most, at least in the US.
Unless you count leet-speak. Then the most misspelled word becomes 'you.'
But yeah, it does get misspelled a lot, though I try my hardest not to ***** about it.

I hate a lot of misspellings. One of the biggest ones would have to be when somebody types "rouge" instead of "rogue".

Even worse when a Rogue does it...

...

Sorry to say so, but you may be thinking a little too deeply into this.

Which reminds me, it also pisses me off when people mix up 'to' and 'too.' Again, I try not to call people out on it, especially since I often make the same mistake.

All of them, specifically the to/too/two bit.
It seems someone beat me to the punch.

I've given up hope for most of humanity spelling shit right, but among the many things I hate about Fable II, these two just make me irate: The achievement "The Duellist." One 'L', Molyneux! Another one is when you're viewing a friend's Gamercard, and it says they're currently searching for historical "artefacts." No 'E', it's an 'I'.

You would think that they'd at least spell that stuff right if they're so good.

EDIT @ Above: Indeed.

Actually, the Commonwealth spelling is in fact artefact, with an E. There's no excuse for duellist, though.

And all their unnamed cousins. It can't be legal to have so many words that look the same.

Not so much a spelling thing, but when people say "aks/axe" instead of "ask" or "excape" instead of "escape" or generally replace "sk" with "x/xc/ks".

But I can't fucking stand it when people don't capitalize "I" repeatedly or just don't acknowledge the existence of the shift key. It's all the worse when they use full words, because then it's not a huge stretch to the shift key if you're already typing out full words.

Oh, and seeing your/you're always pisses me off.
Oh i also hate the aks/axe and ask thing. I also really hate it when people say prehaps instead of perhaps.
