Search Bar approved. If this has been done before, sorry, but you can't say I didn't try.

So, pretty much the title. Any little misspellings that, for whatever reason, kinda piss you off?

Me, I'd have to go with people who spell definitely with an a. Definately, definitaly, or the best, defiantly. I usually don't get too concerned when people spell badly, after all, it's what they're saying that counts. This one always irks me, though.
I'm guilty of that :(

For me it's when total idiots can't spell for shit, so they talk like 'hey u want 2 quest?'. Especially in WoW/MMOs. I used to be like that, but then I started playing Warhammer. Which has the greatest community an MMO has ever had, IMO. There, I was taught to use correct language and grammar.

Though, when I'm talking to a nice guy that doesn't talk like me, I feel like I'm on some type of high horse. So sometimes I have to start using bad grammar to be on the same level with the person I'm talking too.

Peer pressured into spelling badly. Oh, the humanity!

I hate the word "Irregardless" with a fiery fucking passion, but it is a bigger annoyance when spoken.

Haha.

Now I think about it, I think I should just direct everyone I meet that cant use good grammar for shit to the trial for warhammer or something. Cause seriously, only 2 in 10 people there really talk like that. Too bad its such a crappy game.

I have way too many general spelling niggles. They're/Their/There, Where/Were, Your/You're, Effect/Affect, the whole bunch.

What really annoys me is when people spell things that it's their business to know wrong - for example, a girl in my class spelled "Tourette's Syndrome" as "Turret's Syndrome" which would have been tolerable if we hadn't been in a Psychology class and she wasn't interested in non-typical development :/

Every spelling error bothers me, no idea why. Just a snob for it, I guess. But I'm polite about it and don't say anything.

Their, they're, and there.
Your and you're.
Alot instead of a lot.
Tho instead of though.
CoD6 instead of MW2.

I've given up hope for most of humanity spelling shit right, but among the many things I hate about Fable II, these two just make me irate: The achievement "The Duellist." One 'L', Molyneux! Another one is when you're viewing a friend's Gamercard, and it says they're currently searching for historical "artefacts." No 'E', it's an 'I'.

You would think that they'd at least spell that stuff right if they're so good.
Interestingly enough, according to Merriam-Webster's duelist and duellist, artifact and artefact are indeed fully acceptable spellings. It's based largely on the region you're in, I would presume, but still. It's a real dictionary of note.

EDIT for OT:

As for me, I think I fall into the 'definitely' camp. But I really have very few qualms about people who misspell (except when it comes to essays and the like), it's just that when you type 'defiantly' instead of definitely it makes you look silly.

alright is not a word all right!?!?!? Even if word says it is, it isn't. I hate it when people use that because it shows how much they didn't pay attention in English class.

Loose instead of the word Lose. Because it's becoming a very common spelling error for an extremely easy to spell word. It's four letters for Christ's sake! Whenever I see people type like that I loose my mind.

[sub]See what I did there?[/sub]

This is a very specific one, but Vaughan in Stevie Ray Vaughan. People spell it Vaughn all the time, and it bothers me no end.

People thinking aswell is one word.

They will be the first to die.
same goes for people who spell "a lot" as "alot" ITS TWO DAMN WORDS

also my n key is slow to respond at times so I hate it when I get words like "typign" even though I press "n" before "g"
