Well in the end it all comes down to taste and I haven't listened to all their songs as they both have over 200 songs. But then as I said earlier I'm mainly a metalhead and the longest non-progressive metal song is At War With Satan by Venom as I recall.

I assumed that the average song length was 7 mins because if you took all the classical, folk, rock, metal(Over 70,000 metal bands exist btw), pop, techno, rap, etc. it would probably be something like 7 minutes.

Also Beethoven was the first punk.
Haha! Don't worry, I wasn't criticising your choice of song length because I thought it was a silly length, with the way modern music is today very few songs would go over that time! I just thought it was funny in my situation because it's very short for what I listen too!

10,000 Days - Tool - 11 minutes. Tool is the only band that can keep me interested in a song for over five minutes.
See, it's weird that way. Honestly, Tool is the only band I can think of that writes songs like that that are completely uninteresting. I think they're good - but their songs just seem to go on and on, without ever really doing anything interesting. That's just my opinion though.
Opinions are interesting that way. Some are right and some are totally wrong.

Just kidding, I'm not a huge jerk.

About ten metallica songs, the best one being one :)
MIA and about 5 other A7x songs
Damien by Iced earth
Shogun by trivium
Just no....

There are SO MANY MORE long Metallica songs that are better than One.

For example,

...And Justice for All
Mercyful Fate (Garage, Inc)
Orion
Actually One is there most famous song and a great build it is too.

I will never understand why people just hate 'One' out of all Metallica songs, it's what got me into Metallica and out of Linkin Park, the instrumental at the end of it is still one of the best I have ever heard.

Oh Comely - Neutral Milk Hotel 8:18
One of the more moving songs I've ever heard, the first time I listened to the album straight through I bawwed pretty hard about half way through this one, then the last song on the album got me again. It's so sad, yet happy at the same time, bittersweet for sure.

"And Then There Was Silence" - Blind Guardian (14 minutes)
"Ghost Love Score" - Nightwish (10 minutes)

And a lot of Dragonforce's discography. First and foremost being "Last Journey Home" (8 minutes). And a significant mention to their longest song "Soldiers of the Wasteland" (10 minutes).

Speed Metal Symphony - Steve Vai

only ones i can think of at the moment
Speed Metal Symphony isn't Steve Vai's song, it's Cacophony's (Marty Friedman's band before he was in Megadeth)

"Tocatta & Fugue in D Minor." (When played properly, it's about 10 minutes).

"Seinaru Toki Eien no Inori" by Malice Mizer is about 8 1/2 minutes.

Most of my music is about 5 min long, but I'm willing to bet all of my classical, opera, & trance-techno songs are over 7 minutes.

Bloodlight Eye- A Theatre For Your Nightmares- 1:03:36
Mike Oldfield- Tubular Bells- 25:29
Mastodon- Pendulous Skin- 22:16

Granted, Bloodlit Eye is a friend of mine's band, and it's a whole album long song. It's pretty good, but not sparkling. If you like The sound of Mastodon, In Flames and Lamb Of God having an orgy then you might like it.
