Longest game you've ever played?

Or rather, a game that took you a long time to beat.

For me, it would have to be Fallout 3. It's hard not to get sidetracked and waste time doing missions across the wasteland. I've spent over 100 hours before I beat the ending.

Definetly Fallout 3.... i spent 6 months of my life playing the game to it's fullest with all its DLC's and 100% of its trophies

KotOR 1.
I did everything there was. Every side quest, I explored every area, and I did it twice for the light and dark side ending.
I also have roughly 300 hours in Soul Silver.
And I don't know if it counts, but Starcraft.
I have over 200 days played in the multiplayer, and I played it pretty casually.

I had over 1000 hours on Guild Wars when I played it. And I played it a lot. Don't get me wrong, I was always having fun, but I am glad I broke the addiction. Not sure if you are counting MMOs though.
Apart from that, I have about 120 hours on FFX-2 due to New Game Plus and getting 100%. Other Final Fantays generally have 70 - 100 hours. Fallout 3 has 90 hours. Pokemon games generally have around 60 - 70 hours.

Oblivion on my first play through, got sooooo lost in there, from the moment I accidently stumbled across the thieves guild, which led to the dark brotherhood (accidently killed a guy running from a robbery that went to hell) ... spent ages on just the side quests, everything seemed to flow together, wasnt untill the 50 odd hour mark I even remembered I had a main quest, "save the world" type job to do... history is sure to remember me as the most apathetic bosmer-come-vampire in exsitance but pfft, the world can wait, I wanna see what shiny things are in that ruin!

I've probably sunk more hours into Pokemon or Zelda games than anything else. As for individual games, I can't say.

Probably Morrowind for me. I still play with one of my characters from time to time. I probably have well over 200 hours on that play-through.

Dragon Quest/Warrior VII

300 hours to beat everything. When I knew what to do, with the exception of a few shard locations. That is of course, just main story games. God knows for games like Pokemon.

Halo 3 multiplayer - About 10 days
Rock Band platform - Probably around 400 hours
Pokemon Saphire - 300 hours.

Morrowind, 200 hours main quest alone plus side quests, guilds, and 2 esxpansions, thats like a year of gameplay (hyperbole)

are we talking one sitting or multiple? because for just one sitting tales of symphonia 78hours of contenuous play and yes i did scare my parents, yes it was a bet, yes i won,and yes coffie and red bull were involed<.< if were talking multiple id have to say blue dragon 120 hours getting everything.unless of corse were counting mmos then its WOW but that seems like cheating

I use to play FFXI for a long time, around for a few months really. Gonna get back to it when I get a better internet provider.
Longest game I am probably playing now would either be Persona 3 and 4 or Record of Agarest War.
Maybe a lil Monster Hunter and God Eater as well since I have been playing those more often.

Took me about 100 hours to finish off Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War. Fallout didn't take quite that long for me to beat the first time.

Probably Baldur's Gate 2, which, along with its expansion, I played for around 300 hours before I got to the end. I've played other games longer, but it was because of a lack of an ending (multiplayer games) or because of lots of filler content (Morrowind, Fallout).
