Playboy is really getting into gaming. First with the sexiest Bayonetta, and now with this...
That Bayonetta is one of the reasons why i don't cosplay. Or never will.

Hugh Hefner can fuck right off and die and leave my gaming alone.
I agree but for different reasons, my problem with him is the way he treats his "bunnies" how he collects 18ish year old women and kicks them out when they turn 20-24 (I can't recall what age it was) and replaces them

The only thing worse than shameless T&A aimed at the lowest common denominator of teenage male is when that T&A belongs to a woman who is not my type.

They couldn't find some ultra-cute sweetheart of a sandy blonde to project footage onto?

...damn. The trailer for My Girlfriend is the President was sexier than that. Not to mention, you know, actually having something to do with the game.

Wow, that was ridiculous. Was that supposed to be clever...or creative or even interesting? You were right, I was falling asleep during that ad.

if this is what Playboy wants to bring to the gaming scene, I think it should just stick to the straight-up porn.
In their defense, most people would probably not look at what they produce and call it "straight-up porn". I mean, approximately 20 pages of their 200+ page publication contains actual nude photos, so I guess misunderstanding is a two-way street. Now that I've proven how magnanimous I am, on to the bashing:

There is absolutely no reason Playboy should be involved at all in the gaming scene, because they obvioiusly have more than a little disdain for it. They started including video game reviews in the section of their magazine where they review movies, television shows, and books a few years ago.
They get decent critics who really know A LOT about movie history to review movies. They really bring out the obscurotron when they're comparing movies.
They get incredibly well-read individuals to read books who can usually accurately cite the writer's influences and themes.
They even get people who are familiar with television's extensive history to review television shows.
Then they toss a game to an intern and tell him/her to write up 100 words about it for the next day. Seriously, they credit all their reviews of other forms of media, but not their game reviews. What the hell is that?
In addition, I've never seen a single game given less than a 3/4. Ever. These aren't reviews. They're advertising blurbs. GHOST RIDER gets a 4/4, implying perfection?!? Are you serious?

I realize they're trying to evolve with the times, but if they can't give gaming at least as much respect as movies and television, they should just put their reviews in a section called "Things People Like That We Think are Stupid."

This is sad. I never thought Playboy would insult me with such a terrible stereotype.

Even the girl looks insulted by the whole thing. But hey she at least got paid for it.

It's like they're saying "Hey, this game is good! Look, we projected it over a half naked woman, so that proves that it MUST be good! You guys like tits, right? Right?!"

How very insulting and condescending...

I agree with the original news story, you can't see the game because of the girl and you can't see the girl because of the game. Who could this trailer possibly be trying to target?!

In case anyone was wondering (or if anyone even reads this for that matter. 4th page!), I'm a woman, so I would have found this mildly irritating anyways.

I don't understand why people seem to demand T&A in their games. Being horny isn't condusive to sitting on a couch and gaming. I dare say it interferes with the gaming.

And yes, this kind of shit only makes my wife think all gamers are boob obsessed tards. One step forward...
Complete agreement.
Onto business, I don't mind adult elements in a game but if I'm playing a game I don't want to watch a cinematic of me screwing a random chick for 20 mins when what I want to do is slice heads off and/or bash them in... or fireballs. Those are fun too. Sure adult elements on the whole aren't necessarily a bad thing, but for chrissake if I want porn I will either pick from my list of 10 favorites (all free, bwahaha) or if I'm a complete bottle feeding retard, google it. Games are for gaming.

That said, may I get an amen?

I agree with you Andy. This is pretty damn stupid. It's like they thought shitty rock music with Michael Bay style editing and some dumb ***** you can barely see is what gamers are looking for.
i completely agree. Silly playboy, making your main audience look like idiots isn't how you gain popularity!

This is absolute garbage. Those responsible will inevitably end up in the secret 11th circle of Hell reserved for bad cinematography and screen-writing which exists even if it turns out none of the others do. In the mean time I would like them to be eaten by a Tyranosaurus because I would get enough entertainment from seeing a headline about that to make up for that terribly boring video.

Ugh... yeah all the videos were horrible. That chick knows very little about games and it's pathetic that anyone thinks this will sell games.
