"On it, where you holed up?" Knife asks, bringing Gideon to his car, a black DeLorean DMC-12.

"You're nothing. That whole marriage thing was purely political, and that doesn't matter because everybody thinks you're dead Salt. Come to think of it, they probably think you are too, Terezi. I mean, you vanished and left a broken window behind."
"We COULD check the news. Wait... no we can't. Some jackass cut the television up."
"It's not like you're going to get married anyway. The Aradia you married is still alive."
"WH4T? 1'M CONFUS3D."

[Saltarius]

"Well yeah. God, I was just checking. When the hell is Knife gonna get here anyways? We're at an abandoned factory down by Crow Landing."

 

[Knife-28]

"Ok, Crow Landing it is." Knife says, ending the call, pulling out of the driveway and driving along the quickest route to the factory.

"I'm going to check the other rooms. I doubt you only have one TV."
"No idea. For all we know, he might end up stuck in traffic caused by security check-points. They guy who killed you is still on the loose, remember?"
Nega Trilby walks back in with a small TV and sets it up. Every channel is broadcasting news reports about the hunt for Salt's murder.
"Let's just hope none of them have found out about Gideon, or Knife is going to be swarmed by reporters."

 

[Saltarius]

"If they knew about our kid, troll science would be changed forever. I mean, somehow she got pregnant for fucks' sake."

[Saltarius]

"Don't you guys have a radio or something? We can check the news from there."

I begin to engineer some kind of cobra like bid for leadership over the mall.

"I'm surprised you didn't just get a new one. Listen, if they find me and Terezi, they'll probably think we faked our deaths for insurance money or some shit. Where in the hell is Knife? He should be here by now!"

 

[Knife-28]

Knife, surprisingly enough, gets to Crow landing without much fuss. When questioned about Gideon, Knife just bullshits a story about how he's been looking after him while he's parents are out of town, and while he see's many journalists, their all interested in getting peoples opinions in how the city will recover after Salt's death and the Nega's attack.

"I doubt they'll see you, a guy whose head exploded on the news, and assume you faked your death. Anyway, why would they even come here?"

I begin carrying out my plan for mall domination, all slow and subtle like

Knife rolls his eyes, and carrys Gideon over to the building. "Ok Salt, please tell me that this place is only your temporary haunt, because this is no place to raise a kid."

 

[Saltarius]

"Yeah man. You really think that Trilby, his Nega, and Terezi are fit to help me take care of Gideon in this dump?"

I take Gideon and sit down on the couch. Little bugger's still sleeping.

"Alright, we need to figure out just what the fuck we're going to do."
