I'm not condoning his actions, but I can sympathise with the whole thing about everyone telling you you're a nice guy, but no-one wanting to step past the 'friend' zone.

He was a decent looking guy, and as he said, many women had told him he was nice, maybe if one had been brave enough to say WHY he wasn't getting dates, what that thing was that kept getting him rejections, he may have ended up 'normal'.

I imagine it's the many years of rejection with no reason given that eventually built up in a tight ball of hate in his gut and eventually turned him nuts.

Of course, we're all told that if you work hard and try, you'll succeed, and I think it ground him down, that, purely out of luck perhaps, he kept trying, kept trying to improve his lot and it never came off.

Again what he did was wrong, but I can at least understand the frustration and the fury at a world that doesn't cut someone a break who's wanting just the basic minimum of some mild success and a woman's love.

How the hell can anyone fell sorry for this psychotic loser? What about the victims? Did anyone ever think for a second that the reason women didn't want anything to do with him is because he was a weirdo? I have a friend who is a 26 year old virgin because of his attitude towards women. They don't like him because he's bitter and he's bitter because they don't like him. I don't relate to him in any way nor feel empathy, his lack of social life was clearly his own doing and because he didn't have the balls to change it he made others suffer for it. He should have just saved himself the trip and only killed himself, or gotten therapy.
Lol 26 isnt TOO bad for being a virgin is is?
(I guess I wouldnt really know, I'm 15)
Lol at least its not like the 40 year old virgin or whatever.
No of course not, there is nothing wrong with being a virgin. It's the things that contribute to ones virginity that I find pathetic, now this doesn't include moral, religious, or personal choices for it. Like my friend, he's an unhappy anti social individual that just thinks this ever perfect women that must fit a very specific criteria will just fall into his lap one day withou him giving an ounce of effort. That's not how life is, and the fact it hasn't happend has caused him to resent women.

Thats unfortunate. I wish your freind luck.
But back on the topic of the shooting. It is sad, but I do not beleive it was justified.
I feel for his lonlyness, but I dont think anything justifys killing innocent people.

Read it for yourself.

Anyone else think it's interesting how somewhere in his paranoid, misanthropic mind, he made some sense?

Second link is the news article.

Crazy stuff, eh?
Thanks for posting this. Made sense? Not really. I can empathize to a degree, being a bit of a loner myself, but killing so many innocent people because you feel alone does not make sense. Especially when there are so many options online and elsewhere to meet people. I'm not tryin' to be a troll or flame or anything. Just responding to your valid question. Hope you don't take it the wrong way. Totally crazy stuff. Good article. Thanks again.

Also, I don't believe its all about sex, althought of course that's part of it.

Sure us guys need release regularly, but we're quite capable of doing that alone.

What we really need tho, is the acceptance and human contact of a woman, I think there's pretty much nothing better than just laying in bed with one you love, knowing you're both fully content with each other, and even just a hug can be a big boost to someone who's feeling low.

Here's my problem: Should certain individuals HAVE to succumb to the wrongdoings of society, change themselves completely, and basically become a completely different person who sacrifices their morals and beliefs...to appease and attain some vague sense of attraction which is such an overrated, exaggerated demand in today's world?

Most men that are virgin's in todays world are, in my experience, typically victims of the ignorance and demand in modern times. I seriously hold NOTHING against virgins due to this fact alone. The more morality you feel, the greater sense of reality you have, and the higher beauty you see above others is marred by the fact that you never bring yourself down to the level of the unworthy.
Did you ever think that maybe it's that one individual person who is the unworthy one? How is it societies fault for certain peoples shortcomings? There is no one standard in society when it comes to finding someone, and people that say there is are either ignorant or suffer from delusions. Finding a girlfriend or getting laid is not that hard to do, you just have to put in the effort and not be afraid of rejection and realize that it may take several tries. Trust me, if you stood out on the sidewalk and devoted an entire day to asking out every girl that walked by you, I guarantee one hundred percent that eventually one will say yes.
There are many in society who walk with their heads upright that as far as I'm concerned, have no God Given reason to do so, and end up receiving everything.

This is life. Those are born as kings become servants and the servants become kings...because there are more servants around.

Right, because we all know that life is only categorized into two different groups.

There are two types of people in the world, those that think there are actually two types of people in the world and the rest of us that know better.

But I do agreee with you that some people are given everything for no reason whatsoever, but that is a very, very select few. You shouldn't confuse confidence with arrogance.

I can understand his frustration, but he went about "solving his problem" in about the worst possible way to keep my sympathy. Killing yourself? Sometimes understandable. Killing others? Only good in self-defense. Killing others, then yourself? You just lost any sympathy from me towards your plight.

Oh wow, apparently, my mother knows one of the women he murdered, Jody Billingsley. This is rather depressing.

Its incredible how people like this wont even consider Therapy.
I think it's because truly psychotic people never actually believe they're crazy in any manner. That's why when people actually try to insist they're insane, most other people just know they're full of shit.

I've always wanted to read something like this, the diary of someone who plans to kill people. I can't explain why, it just is one of the most fascinating things possible to me, people's thought processes and how they view the events around them. Probably explains why I'm a fan of Malcolm Gladwell (author who has written a few books on behavorial patterns in people). Is it wrong to find this "last note" kind of thing intriguing?

It's cool man. I wasn't condoning his action, I was just thinking that some of the points he made where valid, in a weird, psychotic kind of way. Although, personally, I wouldn't like to subscribe to that kind of thinking.
