So all we know about the people involved is that they were in a Mercedes, but we know for a fact that the argument and subsequent shooting were catalyzed by french fries? Yeah, sounds totally legit, and not at all like a ratings-obsessed news outlet dressing up a random act of violence to be more interesting to potential readers.

Journalism is dead.

Oka then. I like to watch the caps just to watch them fail so I could rub it in my former room mate's face just because. Other then that, I only extensively follow the Predators and the Ducks, cause they're my second and third favorite teams respectively.

And yah, the Pens always have a good year (well.. since Crosby and Malkin got on the team). They just seem to not be able to get that powerplay to work for them. though the PK is godly, especially with Staal back in the Mix and fleury getting into his groove.

They need to take action and ban french fries before this one event can lead to it spreading across the world! Just like video games poison the kids minds.

I don't get the people in this thread saying that think this is an indictment of America's culture as a whole. It was fucking Philly, those people booed Santa, for Christ's sake, it's just that one city where literally every single person is both constantly angry and armed.
they booed Santa because the Philadelphia Eagles were doing absolutely terrible, and they thought he was drunk

All we need now is for the shooter to be found with a DS and a copy of Cooking Mama and we're set for Round 78,463 of the 'Video Games Kill People' argument.

...are you from Philly? If you're not, I would keep your mouth shut about it. I would also double-check the definition of "literally." I am from Philly, and I can assure you that more often than not, I'm not angry, and I'm never armed. Do you know when we booed Santa? It was in the 1980s, and it wasn't because it was Santa. It was because we were pissed that our team was doing terribly and because the Santa in question was drunk. Ho ho ho.

Were they Philly Cheese Fries, drenched in cheese and meat with peppers? If so, I'd probably shoot someone who dared eat mine as well.

It's dumb to assume that french fries alone led to him shooting the guy. If they were eating together, he must have already known him. Already knowing him means that they potentially have existing conflicts. Trivializing the cause to be fries is dumb, and CBS should be ashamed of the sensationalized story they're selling.
Uh, really man. It's the police that told the news outlet the the arguement was over french fries. Get over yourself. This is CBS not FOX news. If that's what the guy told the police, then that's what the police will tell news outlets, I don't see how CBS sensationalized anything.

OP:Up here in Canada people don't shoot people over salty fast food differences. They settle it by having a lumberjacking contest to see who can take down an entire maple forest first. The winner keeps all of the syrup.

Like a boss.

Must be some bloody good fries.

I feel sorry for the guy that died, getting killed over food. Well you know what they say.
Fries in America are serious business.

yup.
That we're awesome? Dang, you flatter us. But we'll accept the ego boost, bud. Cheers.

As for the thread, the OP just wants to get a hit thread since the other 2nd Amendment thread is over 1k responses, even though we have the same thread every month, and he just wants the badges. Nothing truly new. But if I had to play ball for the thread: Don't mess with French Fries. Just... don't.

They'll get nasty.

Maybe "french fries" are a code word meaning "a plethora of drugs." It at least makes a little bit of sense that way.
