I find her extremely attractive (yeah im a girl though not lesbian thaanks). I didn't like her images with the beauty spots though. I hate them. Look more like moles that need removing. I love watching clips of her in films, she had a sweet voice and fairly well set body.

Epitome of beauty? Nah. Quite beautiful? Yeah. Though she's too slutty for my taste, she's the Paris Hilton of her time. But in general, I prefer the women of those days, they're (usually) so much more classy. I like class.

She is okay, but not my type, can see what people like in the "hollywood starlet" look. I've always been "girl next door" type. If any actress did that, it was Audrey Tautou and her depiction of Amelie.

Sigh...

"Do you think she's beautiful"

No, she's too symmetrical!

Cookie for reference.

She was a beautiful woman, not my favorite from that era but still a lot better then the sickening anorexic look we seem to worship today.

I love curves on a woman, so sad that today's society discourages it. Still there are some, like Scarlett Johansson or Beyonce.

Not really. Then again, I find few actresses to be beautiful. The only one I can say I find beautiful is Zooey Deschanel:

So it seems I am extremely picky when it comes to beauty :p

Thanks for your opinion. I especially included the "female Escapists" since you really don't need to be lesbian to find a woman esthetically pleasing.

I agree about the "beauty spot" comment. I also really don't like the fan-under-dress shots, I deliberately left them out of the OP gallery.

honestly i think she was better looking as a brunette, and like a few of you have said- she had something to LOOK at. nowadays it's just walking twigs that will blow away in strong enough winds. i mean, look at kelly ripa, she's one of the most attractive celebrities today and you can see her ribs on her chest

there is nothing REAL about her, nothing classic about, her looks are fraud.

She had a rhinoplasty. That's probably it. Even for me, there's more to a woman than her nose.

I think even by todays standards she's incredibley beautiful. I always wondered why guys liked boyish figures nowadays. My boyfriend has a folder of women on his laptop and he was GENUINELY shocked at how much surgery/airebrushing was required to make them look that good.
It makes me wonder how many of todays beautiful women would hold up if we removed their excessive make up/airbrush/surgery footholds?

(Oh and in reply to someone before me, not ALL dyed blondes are bad people. :D)

Yes she was. In fact many women from her generation were beautiful. Not that today's leading actresses are unattractive, but they dont have anything special about them. They kinda look the same.
Kate Winslet is an exception.

She was, kinda, but I still prefer Audrey Hepburn. Maybe I´m just old-fashioned or the standards of beauty haven´t really changed that much, but even today she´s just something else.

I actually have a (boring as batshit) theory that the perception of stick-thin female beauty in the fashion industry is a direct result of the fact that there is a high proportion of gay men in the industry, and very thin women don't produce as much oestrogen once they get below a particular weight level and instead produce androgen which effectively mimics testosterone, making them more sexually appealing to those male-attracted individuals in the fashion industry.
wow, that's a really interesting theory actually. Food for thought.

Back to the original question, I cannot understand how anyone finds her attractive. Not even back then. There were more beautiful women back in the day, and stoopid women are so unsexy.
