It's plain to see that she is attractive. I'm surprised at the lack of acknowledgement of Rita Hayworth in this thread. She was stunning, and a very good actress too.

She's meh. Some of the hairdressers at my local salon are hotter than her, and there are tons of better looking celebrities: Megan Fox, Scarlet Johansen, Angelina Jolie, Eliza Dushku, Holly Madison, Jennifer Hawkins and many more.

Of course she was beautiful. She looked far better early in her career when she had a more natural look than when she was dolled up later on, and on pills.

I still consider her one of the most beautiful women in history. She has that sort of.. classyness that women now dont seem to have.

Wow there is a lot more in your post than I can grasp, especially the dark hair and breast comments. Feel free to elaborate, you've got my attention.
Paraphrasing Desmond Morris's Naked Ape 'The reason vaginas have hair is to differentiate them from the mouth.' Blonde hair has less contrast on pale skin. Dark hair has a higher contrast clearly indicating the location of the genitals. Remember before civilization we didnt have ritual & simple stuck it in anything compliant or not.

Men obsessed by large breasts typically have mommy issues. EIther breast fed too long or too little they retain infantile neuroses directed at the excess fat reservoir hanging off a womans chest.

Aesthetically symetry & visually pleasing curvature have more importance unless your a gay male in the fashion industry :D
Ah now I get the reference. I read that book and absolutely love it. It had me in its graps for week. I'm not too sure about the breasts though. They arouse because they look similar to a woman's bottoms. Especially when wearing lipstick to have the lips better resemble, well, I don't have to explain that one. Apes have sex on their four legs and they don't see the woman's front so breasts aren't so important to them. Since men started having sex front-to-front they didn't see the bottoms anymore so the breasts became more important in their function to emulate said bottoms.

Thanks for bringing up that book again.

No Hedy Lamarr either & she was just plain awesome, brains & beauty. The woman invented Wi-Fi & had the first freaking orgasm on screen. Sensual, smart, sassy (She zinged Goebbels).

Also HL2
Keep them coming! I'm not completely familiar with this era and I'm glad that there are at least a couple of people who appreciate a classic beauty. And nice tidbit on Hedy Lamarr. This just wowed me:
Censorship, bans and denouncements of the film from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Adolph Hitler and Pope Pius XII were partly due to Lamarr?s infamous non-sexual nude scene, but the close-ups on the actress? face as she expresses sexual pleasure were certainly as objectionable, if not more so, for the time.[sup]source [http://blog.spout.com/2009/04/10/10-most-controversial-sex-scenes/] (warning: explicit content)[/sup]

Meh. America's Most Historically Iconic Slut never really appealed to me. Audrey Hepburn though...*sigh*

I have a poster of this shot, looking at it for more than ten seconds just makes your heart melt and your troubles feel far away.
I'm not seeing it...

Then again Marilyn doesn't much appeal to me either.
What can I say I prefer more modern girls.

Yes.

I'd consider her beautiful and I'm usually not into the typical blonde, All American girl.

I prefer Audrey Hepburn to Marylin Monroe, but Marylin Monroe was very attractive.
I agree with you 'bout the pic :p

Absolutely.

She was from an era when starlets had to have a personality, not like today's ultra-dull, charisma feee Megan Fox brigade.

She also had proper lady curves. Yummy.

She looked fairly pretty. I can understand why she was considered a sex symbol back then, but I'm not that crazy about her. However, if she kept he hair natural (brunette and un-tampered-with), then she'd probably be very attractive to me.

I think MM is great. A lot sexier than Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie etc.

Audrey Hepburn doesn't do it for me though. She looks too much like my Mum at a young age and that's just wrongtown. Also not curvy enough.

Maralin Monroe was pretty, Audrey Hepburn was prettier, but I have a thing for actresses of the 60's and 70's...

It may also have something to do with being a sci-fi starlet of the time, but you can't deny, they hawt :D

Oh yes, very attractive. And actually had some body to look at, rather than todays supernaturally thin idea of beauty.
QFT; and she wasn't filled with 'plastic' or silicone either.

Edit:

That's why I LOVE Natalie Portman. I mean, she went to Harvard.
