Well since Mass effect got released on ps3 I was stoked and went crazy to buy it.
But ever since when talking to some others a lot of people seem under the inpression that mass effect should have been a xbox exclusive and bite my head off when I mention it that I was happy since I dont own an xbox.
And a lot feel cheated that it did So I wanted to know if others feel that way or support the ps3 release all the way and why.

I'm all for the PS3 release because it means more people can play a good game. I really don't get why anyone would think otherwise.

I don't feel cheated by it at all really. I had it for 360 and I felt cheated by the game itself being worlds different from Mass Effect 1, but that's just my opinion.

I played both Mass Effect 1 and 2 on PC, so I'm simply glad more people (like yourself) can experience the game without having to buy a different console. Disregard haters; acquire Mass Effect 2 for PS3.

I agree, the more people playing good games the better.

If anything I feel sad I didn't have enough money to buy a ps3 at the time.

The only thing that would seriously raise my eyebrows and bring out the CAPS would be mario and zelda on either of the 2.

Those people need to grow up, or find something less trivial to be angry about. Bioware is in entertainment but it is also a business, and businesses like money. I wish all games were non-exclusive though, there's bunch i've wanted to play but I don't have a PS3 so I can't - at least until I scrape up enough cash to get one.

Why would anyone want anything to be exclusive? I'm a PC player-- truthfully, I can't justify buying a console (plus a monitor converter as I don't have a tv set) just for the priviledge of playing one or two titles. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't buy them if they came out for PC. Yeah, porting takes man hours, but for popular titles, it seems to me that it just makes sense from the company's viewpoint. And there's no reason at all the consumer should care.

I feel a bit cheated since I bought the xbox for the sole reason of playing mass effect and fable. But it is nice that everyone can enjoy biowares great game!

I think it's great that PS3 gamers get the chance to play Mass Effect 2, but at the same time it really annoys me that they're stuck with the horrific "interactive comic" as a summary for the first game. It doesn't do the game or its characters justice, and gets a lot of facts wrong, which in turn could cause the player to make decisions they wouldn't if they had the proper story.

Why the fuck would they feel cheated? Does making it available to the PS3 players some how hamper their own ability to play it or something? Its a classic case of people thinking that the Console War is a real thing.

F*ck exclusives and f*ck the fanboys, games should come to all platform to spread the joy.
As long as they are ported well.

I had ME and ME2 on the 360 and loved them both. Since I beat them so many times, I traded them in and since then have gotten a PS3, so I'm pretty happy that ME2 came out on the PS3. I'd have liked it if they made ME for the PS3 too though since it really defeats the purpose of having ME2 without the prequel on it. Sure, they have the little comic thing, but it's not the same. There are tons of minor things that you do in ME that effect ME2 that you don't get a chance to do in the comic thing.

I'll get ME2 for the PS3 if they make ME3 for it too, but only then. I seriously think that moving straight for ME2 on the PS3 was a bad marketing move. And the 360 people can just shut up and deal with it, they have more exclusives than the PS3 does.

I've got a feeling the reaction you're describing is from a vast minority or certainly not from the denizens of the escapist. It's a good game and it's nice that PS3 owners will get to try it. The free DLC may be something to complain about, but complaints should go to BioWare instead of PS3 owners in that regard.

More people playing a great game. I'm all for it.

Some people need to realize that these consoles are largely made up of games that are on two or all the current gen systems. The few exclusives left are big titles yes, but think of many more fans (and sales) a developer can get if they let everyone play the game.

We are all gamers after all. We all have different tastes but at the end of the day, shouldn't we all have an opportunity to play these games? Should it really matter if it's the 360 or the PS3 version?
