I think it's the PS3 owners who should feel cheated since they can't play the superior ME1.

Also, I feel cheated that even though Ace Combat is making its way to the XBox360 with Assault Horizon, they're still not making a PC version. Stupid Namco fucktards! Just wait till I break into all your houses and eat all your respective kittens!

All games that have a chance at being multiplatform should be multiplatform.

Nothing is wrong with getting the same game as many others, who now feel cheated because more people will get to play what they did...
Which makes absolutely no sense

I'm over it though, mostly because each time it happens I get to kill every last one of them in a big fiery death ball of explosive death. I also get to see the unveiling of the Normandy 2.

i loved the Normandy, and i played though ME 1 about 7 times, and really lived that ship, when it took down the big bad in me1 my first time i was like "HOLY S*** THAT WAS EPIC!" so watching it go down was really really depressing for me, maybe not tear worthy, but then again i didn't cry when my aunt died, but i was severely saddened...

and then they revealed the new Normandy, and i was f***ing jumping up and down happy and going "HELL YES REVENGE TIME YOU A** H*** N*****S!!!" and i was very happy when i did indeed get my revenge.
Funny, I hated the Normandy SR2 when I first got it.

The SR1 was beautifully designed - the dark interior contrasted nicely with the elliptically placed instruments on the bridge near the bow and the galaxy map in the CIC, and the dark staircases with the sparse lighting created a trance-like effect when you climbed up. Couple that with the dramatic Tantalus Core FTL drive and the ambient music, it was one of my favorite locations of any video game.

Comparatively, the SR2 was... just a sterilized white. The FTL drive was shut closed. There was no mysterious music pervading the entire ship. The comm room no longer had everyone being debriefed after every mission and was less involving. It didn't do a single awesome fly-by (on account of being too heavy) that the SR1 did regularly to drop the Mako. It said Cerberus on the hull.

Please, I would like my old SR1 back.

I don't get why a lot of people prefer ME1. I have them both on PC and I drastically prefer the sequel. So I'm left wondering why people prefer the first.
Well, the first one had more chance for exploration and the universe was therefore tangibly larger, instead of just a series of corridors. I frankly enjoyed exploring the different planets with my Mako. Also, the party characters were much more complex than the ones we got for ME2. Hell, the sequel had too many party members - you do their loyalty missions and they are no longer involved in the story arc. They're not even debriefed after missions any more. The ammo system was a step back as well, as was the replacement of the richer RPG-features (the leveling up, for instance). And finally, ME1 had a much more epic story line and a better antagonist (Saren).

ME2 was by no means a bad game. It simply cut off a lot of good things of the original title.

Uh yeah, I played it on the PC so the xbox people can go cry me a river. I say games should go for all platforms. Some of us are too poor to buy them all

Mass Effect was never Xbox exclusive. Was on the PC as well.

Also, give your friends' addresses to the Mafia. Tell them Jack sent you. Mass Effect 2 was an incredible game and I wouldn't have been able to play it for years until my computer was good enough if it weren't for it's PS3 release. I thank christ for Bioware letting me play such an astounding game.

Heh, I was really only talking about the sountrack during the unveiling. Notice my pic is of the SR1? Nothing could possibly replace her, but the SR2 helped to ease the pain. My only wish is that they somehow manage to bring Shepherd back to the Alliance so they could maybe rebuild her or combine the two. I didn't like how much larger the SR2 was. I actually liked that elevator, it gave me time to think over what had just happened in the last mission and how it might affect the future.

Oh really?

You got FFXIII, MGS franchise, Tekken franchise, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil. All of these were supposed to be PS3 exclusives.
wait, wait, wait. We got MGS? Since when?

The only real point of exclusives is intellectual property of the game company. Microsoft owns Halo so it can keep it, same with Nintendo's Mario and PS's God of War. Aside from that, exclusivity is arbiitrary and subject to change.

That boring diatribe aside, great games that aren't publisher-owned SHOULD be cross-platform if the studio wants it. I would've bought ME for ps3 in a heartbeat, but I never knew it would happen so I went PC. That obligates me to get 2 and 3 for pc as well since I want to carry over my file...

First Twin Snakes, then (I think) Substance, then Subsistence, and when MGS Rising comes out it'll be cross-platform. So not the whole franchise, but ports of most of it, have made it to xbox(not 360) and Gamecube.

in the end i'm just happy more people get to play mass effect, but still i feel alittle betrayed, like we gave away somthing without getting anything in return.

Dear PS3, we gave you mass effect, please at least give us infamus.

The only thing I'm upset about is that so many gamers will have played Mass Effect 2 without experiencing the first one. The story is primarily what makes the Mass Effect series so great, and the story would feel so much more incomplete without the first one.

This is the case with most of 360's "exclusives." I refuse to support XBOX at all, so I get games for PC. It's not the same, because it's on my Asus game machine as opposed to a machine that can only play games Microsoft sees fit. I've challenged friends to find me a game that's really 360 exclusive by this criteria, but they can't. There may be, who knows.

I don't HATE XBOX, I just think it's not worth owning a console whose games I can buy for the PC I already have. I have PS3 and Wii for the industry's TRUE exclusives.

As soon as Halo makes the leap.
Lol, I know it won't happen but I get how you feel. You get MGS Rising this year though, but Kojima's lack of involvement makes me worry about the quality.

The only reason a GOOD game shouldn't cross over from one system to another is due to hardware issues. Controller functionality, processing power, and similar issues. Some of the best games have crossed platforms after being proven as a beautiful gem of a game. Take "Bioshock" for example. Mass Effect 2 has every right to cross over. It's not the "Best" game in my opinion, but it was fun to play, if a bit repetitive.

Mass Effect 2 was already multiplatform, so there's no reason to be upset that the PS3 gets it too.

As a PC gamer, the only reason why I might want a game to stay off a console is if it meant that it would be developed with the PC more in mind.
