"This is what we've been hired to do..." Verahl said, his voice showed how much stress he was currently under. "I don't like this any more then the rest of you, but we don't have another choice..."

"Understood." Sal said looking out the back of the truck, keeping an eye out for any more mercs.

Hi, I'm really new here but I think you guys have a pretty awesome RP going on. It has a real nice setting and story. It's too bad you guys don't have many players, or you guys could update more. I've never RP'ed before but I could join on to keep the thread alive. I can't post often but I could submit a char sheet if the GM is OK with it. Sorry for such a big post. ;)

Raven moved next to Sal keeping an eye on the positions they could be attacked from. "Santius, the sooner you stop worrying the sooner we can get this done. Yes they may be prepared for us but that by no means makes them better. If you're scared then hide behind Lux, I'm sure he'll enjoy protecting you."

Ted is the GM, just send him a Pm and we can see about you joining the the game. Just create a sheet and be prepared to post a fair amount.

Ninjas damn them

"No one wants to experience it but you don't have to be afraid of it. Remember life is pleasant, death is peaceful. The transition in between is troublesome."

Sorry, has been a busy couple days for me. I swear my teachers work together to assigne all projects and tests near each other.
The trucks took back off, and flew towards their destination. It appeared most of the Blood Pack's efforts had been concentrated on that location. Word soon came over the radio though, that up ahead the second truck had been shot down also, and the first one had been critically damaged, and was forced to do an emergency landing. The pilots simply changed their course though, and headed a different way, choosing not to attempt to help them.

Verahl was unopposed to this. He didn't give a damn about the mission anymore. He wanted it to be over so they could regroup back at the headquarters. He knew though, that if any member of Blood Pack stood in his way, he would personally remove them.

Lux was a bit disappointed they were choosing to miss the firefights, but frankly, he now hated the mission as well. It was a trap, and they had been used as the bait. The contract had put him off since the beginning, and he wasn't surprised at how it all turned out.

When they were closer to their destination however, another ambush hit them. It was small, and chaotic. It seemed as though it hadn't yet been put together, and that Blood Pack had just located them and were trying to assemble there before they reached. Small arms fire greeted them as they passed, but the trucks took little damage, and the Pack scattered when the company and the guards returned fire.

After another forty minutes of flying, the trucks touched down outside a warehouse near the bottom of the station. The company got out, and were instructed towards the warehouse. Verahl protested, but the guard assured them that they had nothing planned, a friend simply wanted to talk with him. Verahl was very skeptical about this, and insisted on bringing his weapons with him into the warehouse.

The company entered, inside, the place was almost completely barren. A few rows of shelves lined parts of the wall, but it was empty. The real cargo wasn't even taken here. In the center of the room however, there was a small desk however. Four Batarian, human, and Turian guards stood round it, each with weapons in hand as the company entered, but not being aimed, simply being ready.

A Batarian sat in the desk, and stood up as Verahl and the company entered. While his guards were wearing the black armour the company had seen the rest of the guards wearing, this Batarian was wearing blue armour, dotted by white circles on the chest and shoulders. He placed both hands on the table and smiled as he stared at the company before speaking.

"Hello Verahl... It's been a while."

Verahl stood silent, glaring at the Batarian. He hand moved closer to his pistol, as he thought about the consequences of grabbing it.

"C'mon Ver, I know you and you know you. You're not stupid enough to try anything, at least not here," the Batarian proceeded to taunt and mock him. "I just wanted to have a talk you with. Catch up with an old friend."

Verahl broke his silence, his voice was loud and strong, but trembled a little as he spoke, trying to contain the rage that was boiling inside of him. "We were never friends Tarak... This is over... Wire the credits to our account so we can leave."

Tarak shook his head. A smirk still lay on his face while he did it though, as the malice stood strong in his eyes. "Same as always aren't we Ver? Cold, calm and always to the point. I can tell though, you're close to the ed---"

"I said do it you ruthless bastard, if you want to talk, come over to the headquarters, and we can have a civilized conversation there."

Tarak's experession changed from humour to anger, hatred now burned in his eyes as he stared at Verahl. The two stood silent for a moment, as they seemed locked in a battle of wills. Tarak's voice broke the silence. "They've already been sent... Leave."

With that, Verahl turned and walked out of the warehouse, some members of the company hesitated though, confused at the current events.

Clarification for details I left unwritten, but hinted at. This is just so no one is lost.

The Batarian standing behind the desk, is the leader of the Blue Suns on Omega. The guards are also Blue Suns, but their armour has been sprayed black. The markings still are on their armour however, except it's nearly impossible to pick up the subtle details and lines of it.

The company is now currently still in the warehouse. Some can leave and go with Verahl if you want, and ask him for what's going on, or stay behind and question Tarak.

Also, if you want I can skip back a bit and we can continue going on a Blood Pack hunt or something. I just feel it's good to get to a different part of the story right now, and go to a different setting and different things. I'm making an assumption here, but I figure that's what you'd rather have instead of just more battle with the Blood Pack.

Sal sneered at the Batarian, and for once she was grateful for her mask. It his all the things she could have done to insult these men. She followed Verahl out of the building and in her opinion they hadn't left fast enough. " We may want to keep an ear out for them. Those kinda of men usually end up making a lot of important people very angry." She said quietly to Verahl

"I'm more worried about the people we've angered..."

Verahl walked towards a open area near the warehouse.

"I called for the Gauntlet to pick us up before we landed, should only take a few more minutes."

He sat on a bench nearby. And placed his hands on his brow and tried to massage his forhead. For once in his life, he didn't know what to do or how to do it. He closed his eyes and let out a long sigh. He tried to compose himself, before looking back up at Sal.

He tried to smile, and he spoke softly, as if trying to comfort and convince himself as much as he was her, "Don't worry, I'll figure something out."

Ocara exited the warehouse, he saw Verhal was looking troubled. "Hey boss you want me to set up on a roof and you know..." he joked

"Don't bother, if anyone was going to do that, I would feel it to be my responsibility. That and the fact that I'd be using rockets for good measure," he said back. He was trying to be funny and trying to throw a joke back at him, but it wasn't too effective. He had to much on his mind to really attempt any humour.

"I'm not worried boss, I know you'll come up with something eventually." Sal said leaning up against a wall.

"It's the Blue Sun method. Throw other mercs that are deemed expendable at the problem and hope they die. That way you still get paid, and don't have to pay them. I should have seen it beforehand."

Overhead, the transport came into view. It slowed down, and landed in the open space near the warehouse.

"Alright, I suppose it's time then."

Verahl got up from the bench, and moved to the rear of the transport. He waited for the cargo bay doors to open and then took his seat.

And yes, I know there is a plot hole here about the transport flying around by itself. Honestly, I've been meaning to write up a character sheet for a local pilot or something, but haven't figured out anything good.

Raven glanced in disgust at the batarian before saying, "He may not want to say it but you fucked up bad. You deem us expendable, the Crimson Wraith tried to deem me expendable and they vanished. If I ever see you again, I will personal shove your gun up your ass and make you taste the metal." Having said his piece Raven left the warehouse joining the rest of the weary group.

Let me know if its to much. Wanted to reference Raven's backstory and loyalty to his squadmates as his reaction to the events.
