Raven walked silently behind Verahl as people began to flee around them. It seems people understand when shit is about to hit the fan though the fact that we are armed to the teeth certainly does add to their overwhelming sense of flight. Looking on as Ver intimidated the receptionist, Raven was genuinely proud of him and the way he had returned to being their tough as shit commander. Smiling as they moved toward the room, he spoke "I think you made the receptionist shit herself Ver."

"Hope she doesn't charge for the uniform," Verahl said, his eyes focusing on the numbers of the rooms they were passing.

"I think the uniform is going to be the least of their concerns after we get finished with our business." Raven replied as his glance fell from number to number with each room they passed, his excitement rising.

"She should count herself lucky. I doubt the receptionists have to do much cleaning around here," Verahl said, as he stopped in front of the door marked 118. He sighed, and checked the shotgun. His armor piercing rounds were loaded into it.

Perfect for splatter.

He paused and looked at Lux and Raven. "Ready?"

Shouldering his shotgun, he looked back at Lux. "Definitely." We're going to leave a bloody mess and it will be incredibly satisfying.

Lux nodded at Verahl, as he moved to the centre of the door.

"Whenever you're ready," Verahl said as he stood at the side, shotgun ready, waiting for Lux.

Lux took a few deep breaths and closed his eyes. He was concentrating his anger and strength into this one blow. He took a few paces back, getting as much distance as he could from the door in the narrow hallway.

Suddenly, he roared a deafening thunderous cry, as he dropped his shoulder in front of him and charged directly at the door. The door was left with a massive dent in the middle of it, as it came off its tracks, and was carried by Lux through the motel room and into the opposite wall. Verahl and Raven quickly ran in after him, each having their shotgun raised, scanning the room for Mayli.

In the corner, sat a Quarian, absolutely shocked by this sudden intrusion. Mayli looked up from her Omni-Tool she was just checking as Lux released the door and Raven and Verahl approached her. Her head turned to each of them before finally coming back to Verahl, glaring at her with a fearsome smirk now sitting proudly on his face.

"Shit..." Mayli said, the only thing she could muster before the inevitable hit her.

Raven let the biotic energy flow through him as he used his heavy throw to slam Mayli brutally into one of the walls of the motel room with an audible thump and a dent clearly seen. "Hello *****. Long time no see."

"Raven, Lux, still being good little lap dogs to this psychopath I see," Mayli said, struggling to talk under the pressure being put on her. "I see nothing's changed then."

Raven suppressed a laugh as glared at Mayli. "So says the traitor who betrayed her entire organization to save her own scrawny ass. I wonder though, did you actually think you were going to get away with murdering Zar?"

"It's not murder when you're killing a monster," she said, responding to the presence of death with sarcasm, defiance, and cynicism.

Mayli's response brought on a fresh surge of anger which in turn lead her to be slammed into the wall again. "If you said to get me angry then you definitely have your wish *****. Zar wasn't a monster, you were you selfish child."

Mayli started to choke, barely able to get her words out now.

"You... were... all... monsters," her malice was scorched into each word she said, proving the hatred she had developed for her old comrades.

"No *****, you were the monster. In a time when we need to unity, when we needed to work together to survive. You chose yourself over the rest of your team. I may be a monster now but it was a price I was ready to pay in order to bring an end to you." Letting her drop to the ground, he looked to Verahl, "I have nothing more to say to the ***** Boss"

"I'm the monster?!" she screamed as she stood up. "Who are the ones who go out everyday to kill for money?! Who are the ones that think nothing of the lives they take?! Who are the ones to---"

Verahl's shotgun cut her off. Mayli's suit was a basic Quarian one. It wasn't meant for combat. The little shields she had active on it were quickly overloaded, and she had no armor to protect her underneath them. She screamed as she grabbed the bloody stump where her left hand used to be. Verahl aimed his next shot at the large domed mask that lay on her face.

"I have more regret for the Varren I shoot then I have for this," Verahl said, as the blast from all of their shotguns echoed through the halls of the motel. Four more volleys followed from each of their guns, until most of what was left of Mayli was liquid.

Verahl opened the comm to the rest of the company.

"She's done. Regroup on the Gauntlet."

He stood over the remains of Mayli's body for a moment, angry that he felt she still got better then she deserved. He spat on shredded remains of her suit, as he turned back to Lux and Raven.

"Let's go."

Raven glared at the remains of their traitorous former teammate feeling better now that a dark chapter in the companies history could finally be brought to a much needed close. Following Verahl out the door, he kept his shotgun in one hand in case people tried to question them. "Well we certainly left a mess didn't we Bossman?"

"Unfortunately we did. I hope Mayli tipped the maid well," Verahl said, sarcasm still coursing through every word.

"Something doesn't feel quite right though," Lux admitted. "It feels like I'm taking something with me from this that I'd rather leave behind."

He grinned, as he dragged his feet along the thick rug in the hallway, leaving thick red stains throughout it.

"There goes most of it."

Raven glanced at the thick red spots on the carpet before laughing. "I'm surprised we didn't have a repeat performance of you tripping like you did in the base big guy. I mean the blood should be slippery right? Or maybe all the chunks of her we left are giving some traction. It'll be one great big mess all the same for them to clean though."

Lux laughed as well, as they made their way out of the motel. The few people that remained behind were silent, and frozen with fear as they passed. Lux stopped in front of a few of them, and gave them a horrible grin before saying 'Boo!', taking sick enjoyment out of their fear.

Before long they were back on the streets. Fewer people were walking around, most staying far away from the enterence of the motel. Verahl, Raven and Lux continued to walk back to the Gauntlet, satisfied that their task was accomplished, and that they might finally have some peace.

Ocara was first to spot the others exiting the building, specks of blood adorning their armours and confirming mission success. He stood and quickly jogged over to Esten who was still watching through his scope, scanning elsewhere and most likely not noticing the others exit.

He tapped him on the shoulder and then stood back a meter, he knew personally that is was never 'nice' to look up from your scope to see someone looming over you, it would be enough to make even him conjure a side arm and he wasn't the ex-STG sniper.

"Come on, jobs done, time to bail" he said in a semi-monotone voice, his mind still struggling to cope with the fact that their problems were finally ending and not wanting to believe it just incase, but even though he was in 'mission mode' and had a head swimming with scenarios, he still managed to conjure a smile.

"Race you back" he said jokingly as he started to jog back to the Gauntlet.
