Masters, A Pokemon RP(CLOSED) Chapter 7: Out of the Woods.

The sandshrew turned and kicked sand at Baron, making him turn away, then closed in with a scratch to his side. Cubone swung back with his club and hit it in the head. The sandshrew curled into a tight ball.

"Baron, Fury swipes." Sylas said. Baron assaulted the balled pokemon with repeated hits, chipping away it's strength. However, Baron faltered quickly and had to blink quickly to keep focus.

Am I poisoned? he asked. Sylas stole a quick look at the scratch and saw a dark substance sticking to his skin on either side.

"Yeah, hurry buddy." Sylas said. Baron swung at the sandshrew a couple more times until it loosened it's grip on itself and collapsed out of it's ball form and tried to scurry away. Sylas quickly tossed a pokeball at it, capturing it. He picked up the pokeball, then picked up Baron.

"Does anyone have an antidote?" he asked, ashamed that he had forgotten to carry some with him.

"Here have a full heal." Brandon said throwing the bottle Sylas. "It's better than an Antidote if only because it can cure just about anything."

"Thanks Brandon." he said sincerely, catching the bottle in one hand. He fumbled to get it right in his hand, then sprayed it over Baron's cut. Instantly, Baron's eyes focused and he squirmed out of Sylas' hold, landing safely on the ground.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Sandshrew are tricky little buggers..." Magnus said, seeing Sylas freak a bit over the poisoning. "You feeling better, Baron?"

Magnus patted the Cubone affectionately on it's skull-helmet, and then looked at the Pokeball which held his newest charge, and pulled his Pokedex out from inside his coat. He scanned it, and checked out the Onix's statistics.

"A male... Welcome to the team, Bore" Magnus said quietly. "What about you, Sy? Let's check out your Sandshrew."

 

[Caimekaze]

It was dark in the cave. And slightly claustrophobic. Slightly unexpected, too. As far as Rhiss could remember, there wasn't a cave on route 215. Which is where she had definitely been when she pounced on that Abra. Speaking of which, it was nowhere in sight.

"Blast. That was pointless. Now where am I?"

She heard several footsteps and some loud noises. Pressing herself to the cave wall and keeping low, she made her way towards the source of the noise. She saw a group of trainers, conversing after a battle. That was an assumption, of course, but a fairly safe one; they all had Pokéballs, and some where treating their pokémon's wounds.

Annoying, but I'll have to take the risk.

Striding out into the open, Rhiss walked straight up to the one she assumed was the leader, based off his Typhlosion.

"Excuse me, I hate to be a bother but I appear to be a little lost. Where... Am I?"

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Huh? Hey, kiddo." Magnus greeted the small boy who walked up to them. "You're in Union Cave, right now... Hold on... Judging by your accent, you're from Sinnoh, right? I'm Magnus... These are my friends and fellow Trainers. What's your name, buddy?"

As far as anyone can tell, Rhiss is a boy(although she is really a girl). Keep this up for the moment, I imagine it'll be a plot point later in the story. Or at least a piece of humor.

 

[Caimekaze]

"You're in Union Cave, right now..."

The place name was met by a blank stare.

"Union Cave...? I've never heard of it. I am from Sinnoh, yeah. Why? Oh, right. I'm Rhiss, it's nice to meet you."

Union Cave... Nope, doesn't ring a bell.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"I thought so... I'm from Eterna City, so I could tell." Magnus explained. "Nice to meet you Rhiss. Union Cave links Violet City and Azalea Town... Johto Region... How did you get here, anyway?"

Magnus was surprised that this boy, Rhiss, didn't know the geography of where he was. Most Trainers learned about landmarks before adventuring in a different region of the world.

 

[Caimekaze]

Johto region. JOHTO REGION!?

"... Oh, I see. Thank you."

Rhiss waited a moment.

"This is all a prank, isn't it? There's no way I could possibly be in the Johto region. That's just ridiculous. Last thing I remember before being in this cave was pouncing on an Abra on route two fiftee- Oh, crap. Oh crap oh crap oh crap."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Oh crap, indeed." Magnus saw the sudden look of realization. "Let me guess... The Abra teleported you here? That's expected... but surprising. Most Abra jump to the place of their birth when frightened, rather than to random places. Maybe the Abra was hatched here, then got moved to Sinnoh somehow..."

Magnus wondered where that Abra went, but it had probably already warped back to Sinnoh.

"At any rate... You seem to be up a creek. If you want, you can come with us for a little while... At least until Azalea Town at the other end of the cave. You've got Pokemon, right?"

Brandon whistled. "Wow all they way from Sinnoh. Quite the jump." He said scratching his head.

I see what you did there. Clever character Caimakaze, it even fits the avi.

 

[Caimekaze]

"Up a creek indeed. Thank you for your offer, I may need to take you up on that. Exploring strange caves isn't really a specialty of mine."

Reaching around her belt, Rhiss grabbed a Pokeball.

"C'mon out, Sneasel. Sorry for keeping you cramped up in there."

A sneasel popped out of the ball, before turning to Rhiss and glaring at her.

"I know, I know. I'm sorry. C'mere."

Lifting the sneasel up, Rhiss placed him on her shoulder. He only had one strong distinguishing feature: his ear feather had quite a nasty scar across it.

"Sneasel, this is Magnus. Magnus, Sneasel."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Nice to meet you, Sneasel." Magnus said to the Sharp Claw Pokemon. He knew that the Sneasel would try to scratch him were he to touch it, so he pulled out his hunting knife, and held it in the palm of his hand. This was a show to the Pokemon that he would not tolerate an attack, and was not weak. It was a show of respect among many clawed Pokemon. He patted the Sneasel on the head, and rubbed it's ear feather a bit affectionately, noticing the scar.

"He's not bad, Rhiss. Nasty scar, though... Has he always had that?" Magnus asked.

 

[Caimekaze]

"It wasn't a scar when I found him. But he's better now. The scar is the only thing that didn't heal properly."

Looking at the blade in Magnus' hand, Rhiss chuckled.

"I'd be careful with that, if I were you. Sneasel here isn't all that aggressive, but he is very cheeky and likes sharp objects. I'll try and stop him, but he may try to acquire it from you."

Sylas watched the newcomer adjust to his situation. Damn, that's a tough break. Teleported to an entirely different region.

Baron wandered over to Rhiss and gazed up at him, also inspecting Sneasel. "Baron, don't stare." Sylas said jokingly. The cubone glanced away and took a few steps back anyway.

"I'm Sylas." he said to him.

 

[Caimekaze]

"It's nice to meet you, Sylas. Sneasel, say hello."

Sneasel waved a little bit, but then scampered onto Rhiss' pack, hiding behind her head.

"You'll have to forgive him, he's a little shy. Hopefully with some training he'll be a little more confident, but for now..."

Rhiss sighed.

"I'm still a brand new trainer. I'm glad I came across you guys, because otherwise there's really no chance I would be able to cope out here against some of the wild pokemon."

Brandon smiled at the new Trainer "Hey it's no problem. In fact we've built up a bit of a rep helping out people in need." He said with a chuckle "Any way I'm Brandon."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Come on... Let's keep going. I'd like to get out of this cave before midnight." Magnus semi-joked to the group. "And, away we go."

The group continued onward into the cave. After a while of walking, the Fire-Types guiding the path for them, Magnus could hear the lapping of water against the shoreline.

"Listen... You can hear the lapping of the water against the bank of the river. It's so peaceful here..." Magnus enjoyed the quiet sounds. "It's wonderful, isn't it?"

 

[Lost In The Void]

"It really is," Duncan commented, on the beauty of the cave, "I loved exploring this place as a kid, always brought a sense of wonder to me."
