You can have a game that isn't a porn game, and still is AO. There are plenty of significant books that, if they were games, would be AO. Saying Microsoft has to make sure all its content is Okay For Kiddies is not, in fact, all right.

Whats 12+ mean? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the European system as I am the ESRB and Japanese system. I'm assuming it means anyone who's over 12 can play (well, buy on their own) that game.

Anyway, I dont think porn is missing this opportunity. I think really this will work better for them. They're already making things that work on the Kinect level and principle, so really I see this as just them having the chance when they release their "pornect" to say "Yeah, you think Mircosoft had something, well ours is better. ANd its Got PORN!"

This is just another example of how American companies view sexual content to be a higher risk factor than violent content. How many Mature 18 rated games have been released over the last few years where violence was the main reason for that M rating. Yet one sniff of a proper M rated game and Microsoft are up in arms. How hipacrital can you get.

Yet violent content is what's always been dragged through the media as a bad influence on the children, not sexual content. This us just a small part of a much larger discussion that can be gotten into once I'm at a proper keyboard& not on my iPhone

From what I've heard of Kinect's supposed target audience, (family-friendly "casual gamers") this is no more a suprise than Nintendo hammering down on "inappropriate" (disregarding child safe games like House of the Dead: Overkill and Madworld, naturally) Wii games and/or mods. What is suprising is that I haven't heard anything to the lines of someone doing this on a Wii, also largely motion-control, if I'm not misinformed.

EDIT: Thought: maybe motion control really was just meant to be a silly gimmick?

Ok, so on the non-porn game topic... I do believe this is the first time I've seen MS say they would not allow an AO licensed game... I knew publishers frowned upon it because it would greatly impact sales because most retailers wouldn't carry it, but MS themselves say no?

As for the game itself, it's on a Kinect hack, MS said they purposely left the device open... the game is being put out on the PC (though, ThriXXX sucks, if Illusion was doing it I'd be more interested =P) ...soooo, what the crap can they do about it in the first place? I mean, I'm sure Microsoft mice are used to play porn games, and.. well click on real porn for that matter, are they going to take a stance against using any peripherals for porn? what about their operating system? no more porn on windows? lol, please. Any new advance in technology will be greeted by the porn industry, hell I think they were shooting 3D vids prior to the TVs being available mainstream.
