This is wonderful. Not because I want to see the fans rage or anything like that- ... .. well, maybe a bit but it's because I love seeing change. You know how long we've had the main 6 stay the same? It's like one of those cartoons that throughout the years, the protagonists look the same and even wear the same clothes. That seems unrealistic. So, change can spice things up and I approve of this change. If shows didn't go under some change with the clothes at least, the show would feel quite repetitive if that makes sense.

A good example is the Pokemon series with Ash being on the air for 10 years. He hasn't even grown, but least the clothes have changed and gives a new feel to the show.

Also, I am looking forward to seeing how people react. So far I have seen civil comments but that might disappear shortly. And that's only seeing the comments here, youtube wise and other websites .. well, now that will be a treat to witness.

To be blunt, I'm not optimistic.

If the show is over than...doh well.

If the show isn't then...Wuuuut happens next?

I mean Twilight was already a walking deus ex machina to begin with but YEESH. If the writting accomadates the change or she 'turns it down' or something like that, then okay. I'm fairly certain the show isn't done after this season, so I'm guessing one of the following:

1.) Power and status somehow get's 'canceled', turned down, or otherwise negated (dream sequence? The bronies will kill)

2.) Show significantly shifts tone. Twilight's role shifts, there is more action and higher stakes. Still might be some pure-fluff, of course, but it's less common.

3.) It's back to status quo, Twi might even still live in the library. Power and status are largely inconsequential.

Does anyone know Hasbro's e-mail address? I tried to find it myself, so that I could write an angry e-mail to them, telling them to return Twilight Sparkle back to her unicorn self. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere on their website. Plus, ranting about it like I always do isn't very productive, since I highly doubt any of Hasbro's employees go on the Escapist forums.

These words...I know what they mean individually, but together they don't make sense.

Because, for a time, EN used my avatar, and he's associated with ponies on this site, I feel the need to make it clear that I am not him.

That being made clear, this definitely rubs me the wrong way, but if it does remain permanent, I think it will be more a matter of just a sore spot in bronies' sides, kinda like... Well, all I have to say is the phrase: "Fire/Fighting."

Though I kind of want for the whole thing to blow up in their faces into a horrible but hilarious-to-watch clustercuss, have "alicorn" being the new Landmaster for an episode, and then it gets nullified, to all the characters relief, with fans brains fizzling over the idea that they were troll'd. hard.

Or they could take the boring but practical approach and just make it work, possibly being kind of like Blossom's Ice Breath.

There is also a small "civli war" going on, akin to the 4chan pony wars, from which a new faction calling themselves "Hoofers" has emerged. They are busy writing their own manifesto as we speak.

I was skeptical at first but I've come to love the idea. It'll introduce a new dynamic and open up a lot more problems for the Mane 6 to face. Also, I admit it would be really kick-ass just to see how it plays out.

To be fair, that's (sort of) always been the case. Love and tolerance was just a countertrolling measure. The guys who took it seriously were called sperglords and autists by those who didn't and ignored by those who didn't care either way.

Ironically enough, the love and tolerance guys are usually the ones who complain the loudest against haters, cloppers and others they feel is "damaging" or "destroying" the fandom.
