Modern Warfare 2: Firearms you feel should have been included?

Being British when I heard that the SA80 was being set for use in OM I was genuinely pleased. but upon seeing that the SA80 had been mistaken for the L85 Light Support Weapon I was more than a little disappointed. now we still had the TAR 21 to work with when it came to Bullpup Assault Rifles, but I still feel a little hard done by that a genuinely British assault rifle wasn't included while basically Americas whole load out was included.

there are other guns I can get snooty about like the whole lack of portable bolt action Rifles which played such a part in the OM for Modern Warfare 1, but I'd rather leave you to tear into them.

Have Fun!

The L96, the SA80 and an AW50 are the only ones I'd like to be added; maybe it's my britishness; I don't know.

Well, BF:BC2 features the M1 Garand, M1A1 Thompson, and Colt .45 M1911. As well as Red Dot sights on Sniper Rifles (Such as the M95 Barrett .50cal)

But that's okay that BF:BC2 will have these and not MW2. But I was surprised of the lack of any G series weapons, like the G36c. And it would indeed be cool to have some British firearms, seeing as the most bad-ass CoD characters always hail from the Isles.

To be honest, I was pretty chuffed with the selection of guns in that game. A M1911 as a sidearm wouldnt have gone amiss though...

What I didnt like was the gun sounds.

I mean where the fuck did they get those samples from?! A fucking Airsoft game? They sound like frikkin' pea shooters. Sure some of the guns sound good (the sniper rifes mainly) But the shotguns and Assault rifles sound like ass. Real guns go "BOOM!", not "pehpehpeh".

Grrr.

I can't really complain about the arsenal in MW2 (haha i said... sorry, never mind)

I do wish they'd brought back the G3 or lessened the recoil on the FAL though. I liked having a gun with near-perfect accuracy and clear iron sights in CoD4 - it was perfect for counter-sniping when you put a silencer on it. *sigh* The FAL just isn't the same.

I know, such a shame about the FAL.
The G3 was one of my favourite weapons in COD4.
And damn right about the SA80, it should of been in there, probably instead of the F2000.
And then the gimpy could of taken the place of the L86, or some other LMG. The L86 is hardly even used in the army itself! but yeah, I'm ranting, lol.

A fully automatic FAL

A crossbow. A fucking crossbow. It would have a slightly straighter tragectory than the noobtube, be a one hit kill, and totally silent. You don't even get the dead teamate symbol onscreen. This would be a secondary weapon, and you'd carry five bolts. Reload would be around two seconds (almost three). Enemies would clutch the wound and fall to the ground, it would stay in the wound. If it struck through a wall it could hold them up, if it hit someone who was near a wall, it could impale them to it.

Attachments would be an ACOG sight, an explosive tip (smaller blast radius than grenade launcher). And a grappling hook.

If you melee attacked with it equipped, you would stab your opponent with the loaded bolt. Only if you weren't reloading/still had ammo, naturally.

Why bother adding more guns? They wouldn't be an accurate representation anyway, you could pretty much change the shape of any gun on the game to another gun and nobody would be able to tell the difference.

They have a .50 cal sniper that can't blow a hole in somebodies chest the size of tangerine, it could easily be a dragunov or any other sniper rifle.

How much better would MW2 be with body damage ....
