I think the criticism exaggerates any evident problems, afterall it is still a fictional game, no matter how photo realistic.
If it's a US anti government force (which is scarier and likelier with the actions recently taken against a Census agent) why was it a Russian airport that was targetted for a terrorist act? And why was there retaliation in a former USSR state against US troops? It's not like former USSR countries are big fans of Russia. I mean... they left the republic via bloody conflict already. It makes no sense that it's not a foreign invading force.Anton P. Nym said:Firstly, who said it's a foreign invasion? The dirty secret of American history is that, historically, Americans have killed far more Americans than anyone else has. You've had a bloody civil war already, and you have plenty of "militia" movements in your past. Domestic terrorism (including police response) has killed more US citizens than all foreign-originated terrorist events combined. But no one talks about that in the US, it seems...Wandrecanada said:It would hardly be possible for a terrorist group to get a military presence large enough to actually pose a serious threat to US militia forces let alone the actual Army on US soil. Can you even imagine the logistics?
Secondly, please thank Mrs. Madison and tell her she sets an excellent table [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burning_of_Washington#Events]. Though the specifics of that event won't be repeated in modern times, there is historical precedent. (The odds of which improve dramatically if, as noted above, there's a fifth column movement already in place.)

And that is when this article lost credibility. 9/11, while painful was 8 years ago... I know it was painful, but you've got to move on at some point people, dwelling in the past has never accomplished anything.Malygris said:The Christian Science Monitor [http://features.csmonitor.com/innovation/2009/10/05/modern-warfare-trailer-does-washington-burning-go-too-far/]

It's kind of like posing a highly difficult quantum physics problem to a 3rd grade "special needs" class and expecting anything useful to come out of it...
I hate these crazy religion freaks who try to get everything banned.
They just hate what they can't understand.
