Thats why I never bothered playing MW2 online. Just played it for the story mode, which was pretty fun

I've watched those MW2 videos and I'm so glad I never bought the game, on killcam the shots are fired at different times to what you see on screen as the player is shooting, meaning .... LAG.
There's a guy that makes youtube video's who only uses the melee, bringing a knife to a gun fight and winning, I was like "what?" then I found out the Commando perk gives you the amazing ability to teleport across the map.

I know the guy you're talking about, 'Onlyusemeblade'... commando is a ridiculous perk alright. Though in his defence, he used to do the same thing in COD4 which is a much harder game to make a knifing class in.

I should hopefully be dipping my toes into the online at some point over July/August due to a dog sitting job I'm doing. Free internet, free food, free house to stay in plus £300 in my pocket? My game of choice KillZone 2 you don't really get alot of videos, and the ones you do get are edited to stop you seeing the "full" scoreboards, the only people with the facility to film their plays are the "Hail to the Kin6" clan, who play against beginners to keep their score high (Dirtbags). SO its obvious their plays are going to feature epic killstreaks, although in clan play, they are less then average.
