Yeah. Basically none of Fallout 3 would've been as exciting, knowing that the gigantic evil radiation monster could only hurt me for around 10 seconds.JeanLuc761 said:Y'know...one of these days developers will realize that regenerating health is NOT such a great idea and only serves to over-simplify games and remove the feeling of dread from things that should be truly frightening.
That's just me though.
EDIT: Before this turns into a flame-war (very possible) I'd like to say that SOME games use regenerating health well but an RPG doesn't seem like an appropriate genre to have it.
And then go play something more fun.laman132 said:i can only reaffirm lacktheknack's statement. this is molyneux. take the news with a metric fuck-ton of salt. and then some.
I want to make my character look like Mr. Kimura (or however that's spelled) from Azumanga Daioh. That way if and when I do those things the guilt of doing so will be assuaged by the hilarity of it.Aku_San said:Oh Molyneux. Why the hell are you making creep sims lately? I mean, look at that Milo game. Now in Fable you drag peasants to be sold into slavery, 'punish' (I'm assuming he means spanking) or play with children? Lord...
It's because a lot of people seem to have it in their minds that HUDs are a useless waste of space and break immersion. While I don't exactly agree with these people I can see where they are coming from... and it isn't a good place.RedMenace said:...
Why did a HUD suddenly became a taboo feature?
I cant help but feel sad when I see health bars and mana bars disappear from games for no apparent reason.
You are a terrible, terrible, HILARIOUS person.KingPiccolOwned said:I want to make my character look like Mr. Kimura (or however that's spelled) from Azumanga Daioh. That way if and when I do those things the guilt of doing so will be assuaged by the hilarity of it.
