Aster Protoflorian from Final Fantasy XIII. It took me a month to beat that thing.

Then my stepdad TerigenMist gets on there and beats it the first time.

Ghouls and ghost getting to the end only to be sent back to the begaing to get a lame weapon did not make me a happy camper.

The end of phantasy star 2, the kill off one of the only usefull characters, then the dammend depressing non ending.

The final challenge, at the bottom of the pit of trials, in "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door".

The cliffhanger ending to "Advent Rising" and consequently finding out that a sequel was postponed indefinitely.

Last Boss on "Viewtiful Joe", to this day I have NEVER beaten him.

Finally the worst of the lot, the ending to "Red Dead Redemption".

The ending was a pure work genius. The designers just played with your emotions like a cat with a ball of string.

Losing your entire party in pokemon to a level 5 pidgey because it used sand-attack so many times that you became physically incapable of hitting it. It's happened to me, and it's not a moment I'm likely to forget.
Ah, I had the enemy Pikachu/Raichu endlessly using double-team. It's just absurd.

Staying with Pokemon, anyone who's committed themselves to a Nuzlocke run will understand the anguish of being beaten by a surprise rival battle.

My god it hurts.

Well you can't really call it a physical manifestation, since it's a video game character, but yeah I agree with you esp. when it keeps using Supersonic all the bloody time. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Escort mission. Which one? All of 'em.

Which game? All of them!!!
Escort missions are to me what a store selling fragile things (staffed with even more fragile people) is to a khorne berserker.

I've never been angered by the game ITSELF because it's just a game, it's not like it's really that important...

The only time I get mad is if someone is a poor-sport and disconnects/quits/resets the game just because I'm winning

I felt something like that. I just didn't know what happened. I was just like "but... Marston's the good guy... the good guy's supposed to win..."

Ugh, that. I have only gotten past that part once, without cheating or bumping down the difficulty.

That one time I beat it, strangely, was at my friends, playing the PS3 version of it.

'Course, who knows any updates the PS3 version never got and it probably was already on easy anyway.

I can live with the waves of Combines, manhacks and lack of health, but when you get an inadequate number of turrets, small space, oh, and combine that with THOSE FUCKMOTHERING SHOTGUNERS...
I figure on my next run through, the strategy is to save all my crossbow and magnum rounds for those guys, but only use those weapons right at the end when I've drained all the health/armour from the stations and it's just a few more seconds until the sequence ends - it's always that last rush at the end that finishes me. I've never been good at positioning turrets at the best of times, so I'm never really sure how I ought to do it - wherever I put them they always seem to get tagged by grenades anyway, and it's way too much pressure to right them again when you're being swarmed by EVERYTHING. The problem is if you try and put them in archways or something where they can be hidden from grenades, usually the guys with the shotguns can just smack them over - and if you put them in the open, they get grenaded from everywhere. The shotgunners are pretty nasty enemies because they pretty much invert every survival tactic you can improvise - the more angles of fire you cut out with walls or doors, the easier it is for them to sneak up on a blind side and hit you with some hideous, nearly impossible to dodge damage before you respond, which really whittles you away so quickly!

Still, they seem to have learned from this mistake. The white forest inn ambush in ep2 is far tighter and mroe enjoyable, if still murderously tough thanks to those hunters.

You guys have made me feel better at video games, because I don't find this part nearly as difficult. You may want to try using the GG to carry a turret in front of you for some parts, since it will do all the work. other than that, stick to the machine gun as it is designed for that range and you have infinite ammo for it.

The ending to demon's souls made me wanna snap the disc. I spent tons of hrs farming material for stronger weapons and lv'n up thinking I was gonna be in some giant epic last battle with a boss who's eyes are bigger then my body only to be left with a "thx for ur help, you can go now".

Did you play the last quest?
I loved killing ross with 15 shots on my Mauser Pistol it felt kinda good, although i was pissed how hard it was to find the quest.

Well, here's a tip: The magnum is only useful when headshots are made, since you'll end up wasting a lot of ammo. Crossbow is a good idea, but 11 bolts isn't near enough.

And the ambush at Episode 2 - yes, it is very good, as you're given plenty of space, lots of health and ammo, and you aren't spammed. It's wonderfully fun on Snynergy.

I've used your turret idea, and it's slower than using most methods. Plus, against more than two, you're screwed.

And the problem with the SMG is that I REALLY hate it. Never strong or accurate enough for me.

I bought Clive Barker's Jericho, knowing full well it would suck, but I figured I could at least write a review of it. No, that was not to be, it was just too damn terrible...
The part that infuriated me the most was near the end of the ww2 level, where a quick time event takes place. The zombie boss du jour rises from the ground, and grabs hold of the character I'm controlling. Thing is, the game lags horribly at this time for unknown reasons, and I had to repeat this bloody thing for a dozen times. Fuck, the words "welcome to the path of souls. you will contribute your face, in time..." are forever ingrained in my mind, along with pure loathing.
Just a word of caution, do not play this game, it does everything wrong it could possibly do.

any game that makes you watch a short cutscene with bad dialogue before a boss fight, and restarts you before the sutscene if you die. any game that does this before a tough boss is destined to make me rage.
QFT, but only if the cutscene is unskippable. As long as I can buttonmash my way past the stupid movie after I've seen it for the nth time, I won't rage too hard.
