Pleh. I played it for a good few hours and tried to enjoy it, but I just couldn't.

got morrowind for £5 gotye after playing it at my mates house and doing a 27hour non-stop stint on my first go. got a khajit with bout a million hours and an obsession with stealing. I can't help it in morrowind, nothing is safe, - candles, cutlery, bread, pillows, cloth, eggs from the mine. My pc sometimes crashed when i walk in my house cause of all the shit I have hauled back to my place in balmora and just dumped on the floor in my room. I really love making piles of crap up to my carry limit, then going off and nicking more stuff and putting that in a pile, then nicking more stuff and putting that in another pile, then picking it all up and recalling to my house and dumping a huge pile of stuff. and this is the only game i have ever tidied up in!

I played this when it first came out, admittedly I was 8, but could never get into it that much; too open I found. Oblivion feels a lot tighter in script to me.
Same for me. Not that im a bit older, I really enjoy it. My only problem is how you loose fatigue when running. You have to run, the world is too big to walk.
Why walk when you can ride

Unfortunately some places (I'm looking at you Ashlander camps!) aren't accessible like that. I found that I really enjoyed levitation, and I went nowhere without it.

Those were such a rip-off. You couldn't see, so you couldn't judge your speed either. For all you know, you could be moving slower.
Cast Magic Resistance 100% for 1 second (ANYONE can cast this), quickly open inventory and equip boots. And the boots are clearly labeled with Fortify Speed 200, how could you think you would be moving slowly?

I've had it for a few years now, maybe I got the short end of the stick by buying the GOTY edition for xbox as opposed to PC, but then again, the depth of it was so far beyond that of any xbox game I'd played before or since. Even Oblivion is shallow in comparison. The graphics aren't all that but the game makes up for it through it's actual gameplay.

As the name will suggest, I bloody LOVE Morrowind! It's taken sooooo many hours of my life away.

I also enjoyed Oblivion and Fallout 3, much to a few peoples dismay. I even bought DaggerFall off of ebay, and got Arena when they were giving it away for free. Love 'em all :D

Been wanting to try Redguard, though.

EDIT: I agree with what alot of people are saying. The first few times you play through it are the best. Someone mentioned going to Balmora for first time and being lost, you just don't get that sorta feeling after playing it for billions of hours xD

I hope they have the immersion of Morrowind, but even further, with the graphics of Oblivion :) I really enjoyed the beauty of Oblivion, it immersed me alot more than Morrowind did (In that way, anyways). And it was easier to build your own houses, instead of having floating books everywhere :p

No pillow forts tho :(

Levitation is the second proest way to get around Morrowind, after Silt Striders. But if there are no mountains to fly over then you'll want to use the BOBS. Have you found them before? They make travelling on foot much easier.

I found increasing acrobatics by about 100 (using a perma enchant) was the best thing to do. *Middle click* Bye, Balmora! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *middle click a few more times* weeeeeeeeeeeeeee, hello Ald'Ruhn! :D

They were the greatest!

One thing that Daggerfall did better than any of the other ES games was sounds and scary atmosphere. You'd be in a dungeon, kinda low on health... then you'd hear a howl, or a click, or a groan, or a roar... and youd just crap your pants. Coz round the corner, there was gunna be something really big, and really nast-WACK!!!! It's behind you, and you gotta change your pants :(

Since I didn't want to pay lots of money I made a "jump suit" by enchanting a pair of pants, a shirt, and some boots to Fortify Acrobatics 33 apiece. It was p. awesome for skipping over mountains and large bodies of water, but for flat land I just used the BOBS.

Morrowind is one of my top five ALL TIME games. One of the most immersive experiences ever. I remember getting off the Silt Strider to Balmora, immediately after leaving Seyda Neen. It was night time, and raining, and I had no idea where I was supposed to be going. And I actually felt lost, at night in the rain.

Also, Morrowind kicks Oblivions shiny ass all the way to Elsweyr.
Ah yes. The first few hours in Balmora without money and equipment, feeling lost and alone. The game definitely had a wonderful atmosphere and while I love Oblivion compared to Morrowind its shit

I don't think I've found them before. What are they (so I can look for them)?

Boots Of Blinding Speed. They gave you +100 speed (I think) but also gave you blindess (again, I think).

I can't remember where they're found. I think there's an Orc that's been rooted to the spot by a witch. But that could be a different artifact.

I can remember when I'd played it a few times, I put the paper map onto a cork board. Everytime id find a rare item, i'd put a pin into the map at that location.

The map that came with it was awesome too, better than Oblivions

He's talking about the Sixth House (House Dagoth) bases. There are seven Sixth House Citadels and a few caves and smaller bases IIRC, but it's entirely reasonable that you've never seen any of them because they only come into play late in the Main Quest.

Right here [http://www.uesp.net/maps/mwmap/mwmap.shtml?centeron=Pemenie&]. Or, if you don't want to click on that and ruin the locations of a few caves, the very short, very easy quest for them starts on the road northwest of Caldera.

Yeah, I found those. I always play as an Argonian so I was never able to use them before.
Edit: I did not get a map with mine (Xbox version). I think I'll get the PC version over steam one of these days.
