XIII,
The most underrated game of the previous generation in my opinion. It ended with the almighty and cliché "To be continued", but they never made a sequel due to the underratedness of the game. I spent months playing that game, just to find out they never going to finish the flippin' story.
Thank you Ubi, thank you very much.

try finding the comics, the game is fun even if it does dissolve into a memory fest later on.

Have to agree with Halo 2, I got all set up for a big ass fight then the credits roll and I'm left going "WTF?!" then Halo 3 comes out and its ending wasn't much better, sure you beat it on legendary and you see a little more but come on, that's just Bungie's money vacuum at work again leaving you with a big "what's next I wonder" feeling. Of course now we have that over hyped ODST and next comes Reach...

Fable II was a pretty poor ending. Although I still felt like I achieved something. Assassin's Creed 1 ending just... sucked. And Brutal Legend, whilst it was one of my favourite games of the year, the ending was just like: (SPOILER ALERT) "boss battle, win, cliffhanger, end," when it so clearly should have been: "boss battle, boss gets away, another 5 hours of gameplay, boss battle, win, cliffhanger, end."

Pretty much nothing beats Prince of Persia '08. The girl should have got up and killed him. You spend the entire game trying to save the world, then just turn around and intentionally destroy it again. What the fuck guys. Seriously.
Great, not as if I haven't completed that yet. He said sarcastically.

Bought it a few weeks ago, played it for a couple of days, got bored, put it away and it's gonna take a lot of encouragement to get it out again.

I'm sorry, but it's been over a year now, and I'm not the first one to bring up the plot points in this forum anyway. I guess I'll put the thing in spoiler brackets if it really counts as one, but I assumed by now everyone knew the ass-backward ending to it. Plus, there is little reason to pull the thing out again in the first place.

Fable II

"oh, im sorry, did you wanted to kill him?"
So run along now with your near God-like power and go start a family or something. Oh, and you only have 3 choices to choose from, and neither of them are even more God-like power. Seriously, is there any point to the Wealth option? By the end of the game, you've amassed so much gold from real estate that it's completely unnecessary. And what's the point of bringing back all the people who were killed while making the Spire? DO you ever meet them and get stuff from them, becasue that's the only way I could see it being useful.

Prince of Persia 2008
what happens? I played it half way through and realized they just copy pasted the first mission 50 times over.
you know all those light seeds you're gathering? The ones that keep the big bad evil guy from destroying the world? The Prince gets releases them and lets the big bad evil into the world, ultimately making everything you did in the game completely meaningless.

pissed me off. made me stop playing the current gen. I felt betrayed.

I literally asked myself "What was the point?"

even Elika asks, "Why?"

and the stupid smug prince doesn't even respond.

The vanilla ending for Fallout 3.

Just...gah. What is it with glorifying self-sacrifice even if said sacrifice is meaningless?

The finishing texts of how you backed off like you were automatically a coward or a traitor? It made almost scream at the screen in rage from the sheer stupidity and complete judgementalism based on a single act.
This. Minus the whole rage part. I'm glad Broken Steel went on to actually wrap up the story and let you keep playing even if you finish the extended main quest.

In recent memory... the 'good' ending to Fable 2. After a very disappointing boss fight (which is actually just a cutscene with an optional quick-time event) you have to choose to:

A: revive everybody who died because of the bad guy.
B: revive your family (if you had any) plus your little doggie, who were also killed by the bad guy, yet strangely not included in option A.
C: obtain a shitload of gold.

By picking A you lose all chances of getting your dog back, whom you kinda sorta need for treasure hunting, and all you have to show for this sacrifice is... a stupid statue.

That's it.
