Most emotional video game endings?

Cliche as all hell by this point, I'm sure... but the End of Metal Gear Solid 4 made me bawl like a *****.
I just spent fifteen years of my life following the story of Big Boss and Snake, all the way from Metal Gear to MGS:4 and EVERY game in between (canon be damned).
The culmination of the story in the final Film was almost too much. Hideo Kojima did a fantastic job and I applauded the execution of his glorious franchise.
Now... it's Raiden's turn to try and pull his sorry ass out of the closet of homo-erotic insecurities and attempt to be a genuine "Bad Mofo". He at least had a decent "Second Start" in MGS:4... something about the Ninja/Cyborg-Ninja throughout the series has always tickled me just right.

Right, im a big softie and got really :'( at the end of 'Crisis Core' and 'Final Fantasy X'
THEY WERE SO SAD AT THE END.

Yeah, I have to agree with Crisis Core. I mean, I always get really into the plot of games and movies, but that one really got me. I had to sit up for an hour breathing deap and telliing myself that it was only a game about a thousand times. That game was so awesome...

Yeah thatll always get to me, i mean the thing is we already knew the end [well, if you played FFVII] but it was how it was done and the relationship you built that really made it so sad.
God, that last bit where your battling all those guys and :'(.
A beautiful bit of gaming story telling though.

Aaaaah right, see i never played the MGS series bar number 4, so the ending didnt trouble me that much [cos frankly, i had no idea what was going on] xD. but it was still kinda sad, so i ca only just imagine what fans of teh series mustve thought><.

But ooh yes, i know about raidens infamous reputation. Cyborg Ninjas is just win, so mmh, maybe he has a chance to redeem himself:O

The first Modern Warfare, Red Dead Redemption (the number of people saying "I could have killed them all!" just completely missed the point) and potentially Mass Effect 2. Knowing that it was YOUR mistakes that cost the lives of your team just makes it hit harder than if they were killed for some plot purpose.

I nearly cried at the ending to FFXIII. So beautiful.

Second place is the ending to Planescape: Torment, especially if you get the "good" ending. Very, very close second, mind you.

First place, though? Terranigma. I swear that ending is the saddest thing ever created. Has anyone even heard of this game?
