Most Iconic Video Game Weapon

Apparently many of you people have no idea what the word "Iconic" means.

Fire Flower
Master Sword
Buster Blade
Gunblade
Gravity Gun
Portal Gun

These are actually iconic. If you say their name you won't need to list a game name beside them because people already know what you're talking about.

Painkiller's weapons are underrated imo. They kick ass !!

BFG and the Gravity Gun are iconic weapons as well.

The fire flower (and the resulting fireball power) gets my vote as the most iconic of all weapons. I can't think of any other weapon where I can look at it and unequivocally identify it.

What about the Dragon Sword in the Ninja Gaiden games? That weapon seemed to be central to the game to me. I don't think I've seen that one mentioned. Also the crossbow that shoots literaly live ammunition in Oddworld: the Stranger's Wrath is pretty unique. I can't say I've seen any other weapon that shoots live monsters in the place of ammo. I'd also say Indy's whip and a jedi's lightsaber. Those last two are so iconic that no other game series dares use them without being accused or ripping off Indiana Jones and Star Wars respectively.

I don't think that can count as iconic, seeing as how it's a reference to Monty Python's Holy Grail. I would say the Worms series' iconic weapon is the sheep bomb.

I have to throw my vote in with the BFG. Even people that don't play video games know what you mean when you say BFG.
