I signed in just to report on this thread.

I remember talking to a friend about why he hadn't sampled Arkham Asylum, which everyone should have tried. He said he wouldnt play it, and upon further inquiry it turned out he wouldnt play it because he thought Superman was a superior hero, therefore Batman games were inferior. So he refuses to play a super hero game until Superman gets his own title. I hit him with an empty Arkham asylum case for about 2 minutes.

Duh. Because Superman 64 was superior to Arkham Asylum. I thought we all established that?

Yup, this right here. If she saw the amount of games I bought off Steam during the Holiday sale, she'd go into coniptions (the total wasn't more than about $50, but I seriously got about 10-15 games from that). That was always the response. Ask me what I want for Christmas? This year it was Dragon Age: Origins. "You have enough games." That's it. Statement. Really? Why even ask me then? I wouldn't mind not getting anything, but why ask and then shoot it down right away?

Also, if my girlfriend was like one of the ones people posted about here, she wouldn't be my girlfriend now. Or past two weeks.

I've had someone say the exact same thing to me. I had no reply, other than a sigh and a shake of the head.

The most ignorant thing anyone has ever said to me about video games is,... what was it oh yes. The following took place in my advanced science class.Me and my lab partner were working on a project that involved having common sense, something the three large noisy sports buffs on the other side of the counter didn't seem have. They were mixing various compounds in no particular order and getting thick mixtures of brown goo everywhere. As I look up from my experiment I ask the guys if the could do the experiment properly as the were making a mess. In response one of them looks up from their mess and says

"Why don't you shut up Evan, what do you know about science? All you ever do is play video games. You probably won't even make it through school you stupid loser."

Having learned to ignore people who stupidity borders on that of a mental handicap I return to what I was doing.

The guy returns to talking to his friends laughing at what he said to me. They all break into laughter right before their oversized experiment explodes into their open mouths. Unfortunatly for them the compounds we were working with that day included Copper sulphate and other indegestible things, which then caused them to break into fits of vomiting soon after.

Sorry for writing so long. I hope you all enjoyed my story. it's true. and it was funny.

A person at work is a "sociologist" which is apparently "psychologist lite" and she claimed that my dark, unusual sense of humour was all because of the TV I watch, when I told her I do not really watch TV she then blamed it on violent video games.
She does not seem to understand the concept that people can just have different opinions and find different things funny.
So anyway, I lied to her and said I do not play video games either, she moved on to music so I played her some of the stuff I listen to which is quite soft (well the stuff I picked for her was, what I usually listen to is quite hard indeed) so she ended up having to back down.
Hope I taught the ***** a lesson.
