Well I would include Halo, but I don't really find it all that overrated. Sure the fanboys make it out to be God itself, but I think it is an amazing online game and the attention it gets is well deserved. I would add Halo 3 but being mentioned in this thread necessitates being a game.

2 things: what the deuce is a flame war? am I the only one not filled in on this? secondly. I find that if I say halo sucks on a post about them making an anime for it, I'm the worst thing to happen since michael jackson bread slathered in Hitler jam, yet if I say halo sucks donkey balls here I'm commended for it and given a reasonable sum of money and a medal of honor. I don't feel so confused as I do misplaced.
Honestly it's been fine, so far everyone is just naming their opinion, it COULD become a flamewar, but I seriously doubt that will happen unless someone wants to get banned...Spieggelmaus said:

Basically I would like it if people could simply speak their peace on this thread and not have others attacking their opinions. I have to say all of them. I haven't seen a fun game come out since Rayman: Raving Rabbids. Which is for the Wii of all things.
I'm not trolling here, but everything that i've seen come out has been either another shooter, or a movie tie in, or a "sandbox" game. I miss the days when gaming felt more like fun than a chore or an endless line of depressing days waiting for something new or interesting came out.
If you like shooters or sandbox games, that's great. If you like movie tie ins, you maaaay need a little help there, but whatever. You can have your fun, but i miss my stupid N64. A lot.

Can I shout the words "CALL OF DUTY 4!!!" loud enough? I mean, it was an average, generic game that wasn't really bad, but wasn't all that good either. Yet every single person I see talking about it is praising it like it's the second coming or something. Just what exactley was so amazing about it?
A flame war is fan of A vs fan of B generally, and its just bashing as opposed to civilized debate. As in "Halo sucks" "Fuck you, Halo is the shit, you suck at Halo which is why you hate it" and such, though I assure you it is rarely so legible.Rawker said:
