I realize that I suck at Halo 3 but...the Spartan Laser. I swear I need ESP to hit someone with that thing.

The force gun from dead space.

For those who are not familiar,it's the game's version of a shotgun:it projects a moving forcefield in a cone up to a short distance(10-15 feet).

The gun sends enemy on their backs, and everytime I use it I expect it to rip limbs off, alas, fate played a cruel trick on me and gave me a shitty excuse for a shotgun in a space zombie game.

The bullseye in Resistance 2. Too imprecise to make it useful, even at midrange. The only advantage was the amount of ammo available...

Anything that is not the tranquilizer gun in MGS4. After you get it (which is pretty early), there is no point in wasting ammo on anything but that, which can get a one-shoot "kill" by shooting at the toe.

the RailWay Rifle from Fallout 3.
pathetically weak, even after you spend all that time trying to scavange for one.

Gauss Rifle from Fallout 3: Operation Ancorage.
1 shot sniper rifle... and my sniper rifle is more powerful and effective... ohkay...

fatman from fallout 3.
sure the nuclear explosion is awsome. but when it takes 2-3 rounds to fell something, exspecially in the latter stages of the game... it is more of an 'ooh pretty' weapon.

Giants Knife in Ocarina of Time.

Then if you fix it, Becomes the greatest weapon ever. I gave it the nick name of "boss killer". ;)

The hunting rifle from l4d,it was quicker to kill enemies at long range with the auto shotty spam then it was waiting for the goddamn cross hairs to tighten.

Infact it's so bad in the next game they're demoting it to a tier 1 weapon instead of tier 2.
omg, i love the range rifle. it is one of the more useful guns i find in the game. but i find i use the gun more as a long range pistol than a sniper rifle. rarely do i ever scope in. because the thing insta-kills, why do i need to aim for his head when hitting his foot makes him just as dead.

The first three weapons from HL2 (crowbar, pistol, and SMG). They made noises that sounded kinda like a gun going off, did very little damage, and had no punch. The guys you shoot at don't even flinch.

The Chinese pistol from Fallout 3, I tried it once on a lone raider for kicks. I stuck firmly with the 10mm pistol after that event.
For me it was the 32. Pistol.
I never EVER used it.
In fact, when I finally beat the game, I realized that I kept that pistol all the way through the game without even using it a single time!

I agree with you on the pistol But the smg got more useful later when u needed its secondary fire, and seriously, never insult the crowbar. What makes Gordon Gordon? The answer is the crowbar.

The Tf2 Medigun probably. There's no excitement to it, until you get Über, even then you don't know how good the patient will be when you give it to him.

The sniper rifle from Fallout 3. That was the most disappointing sniper rifle I've ever seen.

The Minigun, and at least 3/4ths of the melee weapons in Fallout 3.

Melee weapons in general (not including sledge, shiskabab, auto axe)
-too weak
-too many different kinds
-Why not use the strongest one you find first (baseball bat> pool club, etc)
I think the melee weapons were added in for the sake of the raiders using them to get a proper chaotic feel.

After all, if all raiders used was assault rifles and combat knives, it would be like any other enemy.

Lets ignore the fact the the gauss rifle pretty much knocked everything it hit over, giving you plenty of time to reload, or switch weapons and finish it off.

My personal hate of a weapon to use is any assault rifle in any game, not enough BANG, not enough power.

With stopping power, it kills in 2 hits at close range and 3 hits at far range. The m14 semi-auto kills in 2 shots anywhere and 1 shot to the head/neck.

The spidergun from Unreal 2, seems like an awesome concept but has practically no ammo available and is really weak.
