Being able to read minds period is pretty useless. How often do you form a complete and organized thought? Most people bounce around when they're just standing around... on thought reminds them of another thing which reminds them of another thing. So unless someone was really focused you would get a bunch of word fragments and disconjointed pictures.

If there was a useless power I'd say it would have to be immortality since everyone else around you would die from old age and you be all alone sure it be fun to have the whole world to yourself, but that would get boring quick.

Maybe to you, but to someone with a fear of death (like me) it would be a blessing.

Again if you were the last man on earth with immortality you would be all alone with no one to comfort with no one to talk to, everyone you knew and love are gone. You would make an imaginary friend named Wilson just to keep your sanity. That my friend is scarier than death.

actualy johnny storm can control his ability so its not spontaneous and his body is immune to the damaging effects of the flames (which i didnt say as a part of mine so it would hurt) and can also fly which is quite usefull, furthermore he can do things like shoot flames so he is more than just some fool who randomly catches flame and runs around screaming
