In Burn After Reading

When the gym owner gets shot/clubbed to death, and when Brad Pitt's character died. Really ruined the movie for me. I mean, they picked it up well after Pitt's death, but the gym owner's death was just unnecessary.

I just saw that Burn after reading. I really hated it. Two characters died for totally pointless reasons.

OT:

Was quite sad to see:
Alan Tudyk a.k.a. Wash the pilot from Serenity/Firefly die. Felt it was totally unnecessary, also it means that if a miracle occurs and the show ever DOES come back, it won't be the same...
I knew nothing of the Firefly series before that movie, and even I thought that was really bad. "I am a leaf on the wind... watch how I--"
As for me...
I thought that a lot of the deaths in Mother 3 were really sad. The Magypsies, strange as they were, accepted their destinies with grace, whether it was for the better or worse. And Claus... dear Claus...

Haven't watched a lot of movies, but of the few:
Boromir in Lord of the Rings
Lucian in Underworld: Evolution (That character was my favorite...)
Sonja in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
(Not a good selection in movies, I know, but I like the characters.)

Emma in Last Remnant, I was sad because when she died she was replaced by an inferior version of herself.

I'm not going to bother spoiling this, as you aren't losing anything by knowing this, as you shouldn't be playing the game in the first place, it's pretty bad.

Rorshach... the obviously right way to have enden things would be to kill Adrian Veid, and convince rorshach that it was enougth justice and that people didn't have to know what had happened

Actually, I was really pissed off when:

Nick Cutter in Primeval - OK, only UK Escapists will know this one, but he's such an integral part of the storyline, and if they had to kill him off they could have picked a diffeent way to do it. I mean, come on, he gets shot by his ex-wife in the middle of a burning building. He saved her life, Goddammit, and that's even after she keeps trying to kill him through the anomalies. How much more ruined can you make a series? FTR, I absolutely love Primeval, but I was just pissed off at Cutter's death.
How the hell do you even have the bloody show after that happens?
WTF??????
BBC America needs to hurry up and air the third series already.

Oh and Wash(Serenity) is the character I was saddened to see die.

I have to agree there with Wash. As for Primeval:

They've basically created a new storyline where there's an artifact been found that may hold the key to why the anomalies appear, and Conner has developed a way of locking and containing anomalies so nothing gets through after discovering in Episode 3.01 that the Egyptians used a typ of magnetic stone to contain one they worshipped. I think most of this series will be that and the team trying to get retribution against Helen for Nick's death, although I'm hoping that there's scope for him to return. It is a show about time travel, after all, and we've already seen the Cleaner Replicas in action...

Sean Bean!!! [aka Boromir] - though he lives for less than a 3rd if you include the entire run time of the lotr trilogy.
He only ever lasts a third of a film, what a pety life span.
Minus Golden Eye when he sneakily comes back to life to be the baddy as 006.
Or in Silent Hill were he doesn't die at all, but I bet he died a little inside to know his character was a pointless waste of time.
Don't hate me I do like that film, just for the awesome cinematics and decent use of graphics, the storey is naff, but as a whole it does do something for me.
And he's only in the first 15min or something of Equilibrium.
Anyway, he makes a living at being killed off, so who could you get teary eyed for more, not just for the character, but for Sean Bean *is amused by the name rhyming* never getting to be as awesome as he should be.
Oh! Yeah! Almost forgot about the series he was in Sharpe [and all the other one's of it like Sharpe's Peril] He never ever died in that and stands as testimony to how good an actor he is. He comes across as awesome even though the script is tripe, and was labeled "the thinking woman's crumpet!" how bloody British.
To conclude: Sean Bean no matter what he plays, the knowledge he's going to die, and could do at any point from as little as 15min in... *a single tear trickles down his face accompanied with the tiniest of sobs*
