Eulogy, Yojimbo and Secretary (last one only if you are mature enough to look through premises).
My ex-roommates boyfriend bought her Secretary as an 'educational aid'. Not having seen it, I'm not certain if it's working, or not.

Miller's Crossing - By far the Cohen brothers' best movie
How to Get Ahead in Advertising - British comedy at its best

If you can stand the mammoth three hour running time, watch apocalypse now. if your feeling really brave, watch the redux version, about 50 minutes longer. A fantastic film in my opinion, but i would say its an "aquired taste" seeing as its quite a psycological film

I'm going to kick off my list with a couple of VERY old school movies
Around the world in 80 days
Sabrina
Duck Soup
Mr. Deeds Goes to Town
The Dollars Trilogy (especially the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly)
Dirty Harry series
Star Wars
E.T.
Blues Brothers
Revenge of the Nerds
War Games
Jumpin' Jack Flash
Wierd Science
Back to the Future
The God Father
The Corruptor
The Professional - The saddest ending that you will ever cheer for
Mr. Deeds - with Adam Sandler this time
Pulp Fiction
Good Fellas
Scarface
Desperado

Personally I've never seen the Deer Hunter or Raging Bull, which has kept me from eating at certain restaurants, and getting certain discounts.

ice list from the thread as a whole, but honestly I'm shocked we've gotten to page 3 without a mention of Jurassic Park or Jaws.

Also every childhood would be incomplete without several of the Disney animated films...
Oh snap I never thought about JP or Jaws. So what Disney movie do you say MUST be watched?

The Adventures of Milo and Otis, a wonderful tale of two unlikely friends, plus the controversy adds a bit of spice and questions.

I'm going to say House of Blood so that everyone can finally settle on which movie is the worst in the world.

Also, anyone who consider themselves to be movie enthusiasts must see the first Godfather movie, the first and second alien movie, 12 angry men and Schindler's list. Everyone over thirty should have seen these movies already.

Anything by Hayao Miyazaki, but if I had to pick one it would be Princess Mononoke. one of the most amazing films of all time.

in a more realistic setting, I would have to say Lord of the Rings (SE is best), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Earthsong, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I'm gonna say:

Kill Bill Volume 1
District 9
Batman Begins
Fight Club
The Empire Strikes Back
Die Hard
Iron Man 2
(particularly if you're a comic book fan; Iron Man 2 is possibly the greatest comic boook movie ever, as it feels just like you're watching a comic book)
Seven
The Matrix

[HEADING=1]But only the first Matrix film![/HEADING]

I have never felt there are any movies one has to see. The pretension of film snobs comes from a list of "quintessential films" and an obsession with the increasing obscurity of those films. Frankly, I have little interest in what are usually called "good films". That said, I will list the movies that I feel are integral to me as a person, and I personally believe to be fantastically entertaining and great movies. Do I think you should watch them? Yes, I do. Do I expect people to have seen them? Well, no:
Men In Black, Independence Day, Wild Wild West, Bad Boys, Commando, Predator, Kindergarten Cop, The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze, Heavy Metal, Office Space, Gladiator, The Bourne Identity, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbor Totoro, Laputa: The Castle in the Sky, Mononoke-Hime, Spirited Away, Star Wars, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, The Fifth Element, Police Story 4: First Strike, Jurassic Park, The Brave Little Toaster, We're Back!, The Lion King, Alladin, Space Balls, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Wayne's World, Zoolander, Happy Gilmore, Dogma, Troll 2, The Pagemaster, Monty Python: And Now for Something Completely, Different, Monty Python's: Life of Brian, Monty Python's: Holy Grail, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom... I could probably keep going for a while, but this right here is a solid representation of the movies that I feel shaped me as a person. I don't even like all of these movies any more. Some of them I can't stand anymore, but they're there because of how important to my personality they were.

A group of friends was astonished that I had never seen (and still haven't, by the way) a single Star Wars movie, but then I found out none of them had seen The Godfather. So yeah...

Until a few months ago I hadn't seen The Matrix. I still haven't seen any of the other films in the OP except some James Bond and Blade Runner.
