Screamo/death metal I really dont get it to me the lyrics seem pathetic and the sound its like listening to a pig choking on a pipe cleaner, even the instrumentals suck bleh. That and country yet to hear anything compelling that isnt a slow dronefest about cowboys/fields/drinking yawn.
I agree for screamo and a fair bit of death metal, although when you get past the vocals in some of the good death metal, you would be surprised at the musicianship.
Example? Opeth.

Country
If anyone ever invents a suicide booth that's what would be playing all day.I'm pretty sure the CIA uses Toby Keith on suspected terrorists.

Rap & Hip Hop mostly because of the subject matter, but also because the pounding bass gives me a headache.

Modern Hip-hop. 80s-90s rap was brilliant, but today, rappers and hip-hop 'artists' are just shitheads, meatheads and dickheads. I'm also sick and tired of themselves calling it R&B. It is not Rhythm and Blues! You are insulting every true Blues musician ever to walk the earth.

Never got into Indie rock. Some of them alright, but you can hear their roots in mainstream rock-bands and so are they still really Indie music? The rest are just Soft Cocks... er... i mean Soft Rock bands trying to hide their shittiness behind an independant label.

Country sucks as well.

And all those disney and nickelodeon pop-stars and pop-bands like Miley-fucking-Cyrus and Jonas brothers. Whenever i sea them on a Music video programme i die a little inside. I'd like to tie em all together and light em on fire.

I hate rap from the last fifteen years or so (further back is a bit more acceptable).
Also most country from the last twenty years.
Light jazz crap from the past twenty or thirty years.
Screamo.

I'm seeing a pattern here; the more recent, the more disliked.

I'm not sure which of us you were trying to quote, but regardless I don't mean that they're bad musicians, actually I think they're really good at times. Still, I just can't stand to listen to the vocals of the songs.

I don't like much pop music (a gem sometimes comes along, but other than that it's meaningless lovey-dovey/slightly controversial garbage), and I especially hate techno music. Oh my word, what a damned racket that crap is.

Thank you for clarifying that... I may have missed your point. It is very understandable that you may not like death metal vocals. I couldn't stand them until folk metal eased me in.

Also, to contribute to the topic at hand, I cannot for the life of me stand metalcore. My reason. This abomination http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjg8mmVUuxw.

That will be all.

Hip hop/gangsta rap. I'm fine with older or more independant stuff where there's actually some poetic skill, it's just the purile, misogynistic, self-congratulatory trash that gets produced by morons trying to look hard that goes against my grain, made by those idiots who drive around with their windows down playing it at full volume.
I also hate manufactured pop bands that targets kids, a lot of country/western and anything eurovision related other than Lordi.
