Kudos for mentioning that "genre".

Death metal.

If you would like for me to hear you scream don't wail on the guitar, if you would like me to hear you wail on the guitar, don't sing. You can't have your cake and eat it to, or else you're going to be throwing up.
What you describe sounds more of like technical death metal. Undoubtedly some traditional death metal is pretty complicated, but some bands like Morbid Flesh have a more natural structure in their songs. My biggest gripe with extreme metal (and music in general) is the singer sings over the music, and not with it. If you know what I mean.

Animal-Core.

Check out bands like Caninus for my reason why.
OH GOD DON'T MENTION THAT BAND

Thank you for clarifying that... I may have missed your point. It is very understandable that you may not like death metal vocals. I couldn't stand them until folk metal eased me in.

Also, to contribute to the topic at hand, I cannot for the life of me stand metalcore. My reason. This abomination http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjg8mmVUuxw.

That will be all.
For some reason, I can't get the link to work. Perhaps that's a good thing.

Wow, I'm not the only one who hates Rap and Country!
There are some exceptions though. I mean, there's some rap that's okay. And Slim Dusty was the only country music singer I could stand, probably because he wasn't whining for most of his songs, and he didn't have the annoying country accent most singers seem to deliberately effect for their songs.

Endure the first 45 seconds, then it becomes the best country song ever, fixing every complaint you ever had with country music.
Eh, no.

It's still a dronefest broseph. It's not clever either. It's terrible, terrible stuff. This is one of the worst songs I've ever heard actually.

I really only despise a few genres of music:

Country
This kind of jazz: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6AVc5CPOuk

I wish country, folk, rap, and Disney all to die in a giant fire. With Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers being in the best view....

Rock, Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, Metal (and all it's variations including, but not limited to, death metal, black metal, heavy metal, Progressive metal, etc.), Techno, Pop, Rap, Country, Folk, Polka, Reggae, Big Band, Funk, Disco, "Easy Listening", New Age, Japanese windpipe, Opera, Salsa, Cumbia, "Ethnic" music, and any other genre with one or more of the following words in them:
*Core
*Underground
*Soft
*Dark
*Symphonic
*New
*Garage
*Fusion
*Industrial

This is a growing list so any genre, that isn't 19th Century Classical music, will be added as soon as I hear about it.

Contemporary Christian (yeah, a little random, i know). It sounds ALL THE SAME. You'd think they get more creative, but no...just sticking with their repetitive lyrics and the like. *twitches* No doubt there's a few gems somewhere, but they're buried in the mainstream muck.

There isn't really a genre I particulary hate (aside from pop, yeah), though there's some language/genre combinations that don't work. German rap makes my skin crawl, for example. Or Spanish death metal... It's like a smurf trying to grunt.

Rap, but that's mostly because I prefer instrumental music.
hmm apoclyptica is good

also when you listen to rap (every who hates it) do you listen to the words or the music just curious
i don't HATE rap but i find this question interesting.

with some artists, it's WORTH listening to the lyrics, because they tell stories about society and hard life or personal experiences(like Jay-z or Lupe fiasco) but when you've got rappers ranting on about their 22"s, their subbies, their rides, their jewels, their bitches and their hoes and their guns, it's time to switch off and search for some satisfaction in the music...
and if the music isn't good, then i just turn that crap off

some rap songs are catchy or off-beat and hip-hoppy, so they're interesting to hear, but most of the time it's about money and women so it's not worth listening to.

Oh boy, I can see the long list of people saying rap is not good because they generalize on the "big guys".
To judge a music genre, you have to judge it on that genre's big names. The big names reflect the primary sound and target of that genre. The smaller-name artists, though they may be "better," are smaller because they do not reflect the main body of the genre, where most of the listeners are located.

That being said, I do not like rap.
