Pop music, pretty much anything my mother listens to. she has a huge library of songs, but will play like 4 ad nauseum for hours every day, for weeks. Makes me rage so hard.

I personally like some rap, and post-rock is probably one of my favorite genres.

Most of the -core bands are terrible (hardcore, deathcore, metalcore, crabcore, etc)

Most dance music just bugs the hell out of me for some reason, too repetitive for my liking.

Death metal.

If you would like for me to hear you scream don't wail on the guitar, if you would like me to hear you wail on the guitar, don't sing. You can't have your cake and eat it to, or else you're going to be throwing up.

Country. But not because its terrible, I just have bad associations with it.

Ummm... Not really a whole genre as such, but I really hate the fashion for techno covers of good old songs. Mostly because they're done using the "let's add a fast pounding beat and make a girl sing it" method, which doesn't usually fit the song. And when people act all surprised upon learning that the song is a cover of something they could well be expected to know after living outside the womb for 20+ years... Urghhhh...

And I never could see the appeal of the so-called "indie rock" (I'm pretty sure you're not "indie" anymore after you go mainstream...), everything I've heard sounds exactly the same...

But it's not hatred. I just don't like it, no need to go extreme.

country is the one thing that makes me crazy with anger.

i remember hearing a song and there was something about a gopher? like, seriously?

and it's more emo than anything else. they're always bitching about something.

edit: add also reggaeton or however you spell it. same beat in EVERY song. :[

Thank you for clarifying that... I may have missed your point. It is very understandable that you may not like death metal vocals. I couldn't stand them until folk metal eased me in.

Also, to contribute to the topic at hand, I cannot for the life of me stand metalcore. My reason. This abomination http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjg8mmVUuxw.

That will be all.
That was awful.

Not the metalcore I know.
Unfortunately, it is the only metalcore I know...

Rap is Shit. Most Acoustic is Shit. Country is Shit. Okay? There we go.
Thank you for being open minded to others preferences, and that non-flame bait post.

That and country yet to hear anything compelling that isnt a slow dronefest about cowboys/fields/drinking yawn.

Endure the first 45 seconds, then it becomes the best country song ever, fixing every complaint you ever had with country music.

As for me, well, no genre has killed itself yet. I tolerate everything...

Emo.

Most other genres, there will be at least a couple songs that I enjoy--even if I don't get into the big scene of it.

Death metal. Every other genre has at least a few redeeming songs for me, but I find death metal completely unlistenable.
