Like most here country. I could listen to Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Children of Bodom, Lamb of God, Slipknot *EARLY SLIPKNOT, not their new pussy shit* yell in my ear all day long, but as soon as country comes on and starts talkin about how akward his teenage years were i wanna shoot someone as if they'd done me bodily harm.

I've never really found a genre I dislike, as almost every genre I've found has had some redeeming features about it.

Guess the closest I've ever had to hating a genre is mainstream pop, but only a section of it I trulhy dislike, and that's about it.

Hmmmm, unlike the OP, I actually like Disney. The songs from all the old animated films are classics and I have made a vow before now to make sure that when I have kids I raise them on the likes of Aladdin, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Hercules, Mulan, Pocahontas, Peter Pan... etc. You get the idea. As for the more modern stuff, although not a huge fan, I don't really mind a lot of the stuff coming out of the films now and from the likes of Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, Emily Osment, and so on. Provided it's decent music though, the whole 'Hannah Montana' thing I don't like much. But as a serious artist, these people can be pretty good.

In fact, I'm usually willing to give any artist a try. I tend to dislike particular artists rather than genres, for example, I love Linkin Park but don't like Korn, even though they're both Nu Metal.

The only people I really hate are: The Pussycat Dolls (Jai Ho is their only decent song, and that's only because I heard it first in Slumdog Millionaire), and The Spice Girls (cheese in a bad way, not the good funny ABBA/Eurovision way).

I enjoy most kinds of music. I really dislike so called "Rave music", and I'm not a big fan of country. However it seems the country I live in thinks otherwise as there are constant adverts on tv for new country bands, sigh.

Yea, I know what you mean. I mean I'm into Melodic Black Metal, So its not just the same double bass pedals going through the whole song, There's Orchestra and and some actual Melody to it, But this..."Band" Just makes me want to stop new bands coming out. EVER.

I hate rap from the last fifteen years or so (further back is a bit more acceptable).

This. I do happen to like some Beastie Boys songs, but most other rap/ hip hop songs set off my gag reflex.

I don't mind rap in the literal sense (you know, the good old days); once you get synthesizers and other crappy peripherals/ remixes, then it's all shot to hell.

This is a growing list so any genre, that isn't 19th Century Classical music, will be added as soon as I hear about it.

I can't really think of a Genre I can't stand, the closest I can think of is Classical. Wait a minute!? Classical? Yes friends, Classical music (not limited to the classical period, I'm using it as a blanket term) annoys me. Its not that I don't like how it sounds - I think that the songs are well written and well performed.

What does annoy me is when people like Mr. Ethereal listen to nothing BUT Classical. What annoys me more is what Classical music does to musicians, I know way to many classical pianists who are technically amazing but as soon as you say "Solo over C minor blues" they freak out. I know a pianist at uni who can play the three movements of Moonlight Sonata but didn't know what a CM7 chord was.
